Typical Abruzzi food. Pasta is fabulous, especially the chitarra alla ragu, veal entrecote and their pizza's. Definitely worth a try. Staff always very welcoming even when we arrive around 7pm (so unitalian!!!)Extremely good value for money.

Experience and tradition is what distinguishes our restaurant, serving customers for three generations and always synonymous of quality. Our Pizza The secret of our pizza is it's dough, made in accordance with the most genuine tradition, handed down by ou
This restaurant makes amazing pizzas and meat skewers (arrosticini). Ingredients are extremely fresh and of exceptional quality. The pizza menu is varied and meets all tastes. If pizza is not your choice, then try the one of the Puccia's which are mouthwatering. Make sure you're hungry as they are big enough to feed an elephant. The "arrosticini's" are hand made and very tasty. When it comes to deserts, you are spoilt for choice. Again, everything is made in house and with quality ingredients. Finally the bill is also a nice surprise. Excellent value for money. This restaurant is not easy to find so make sure you don't get lost.

Octavio and staff are so friendly and welcoming, we had steak and vegetables, pizza, lamb and stew, couldn't fault it, wine is cheap, a birthday party was in with karaoke which was a fun atmosphere. In the summer they have an outdoor area which is great definitely recommend!

the food we got was fantastic and the review would have been much better had the sweet, of ice cream (a staple of almost every Italian restaurant I have ever attended), been available. It would have been so bad if we had been told this upon ordering and not over 30 minutes later when we asked where it was.Service is good when it isn't busy, but while we were there the 2 staff plus the chef were run off their feet which is possibly why we weren't informed about the ice cream - so get there early

Roasted Pork served fresh daily! Other daily specials include seasonal fare and the chef's choices. Good local fare that appeals to businesses and regular customers. Popular with sports fans and local organizations. Has a great bakery with a vast selections of fresh baked goods. Will make trays for take out as gifts for visits to friends! Lots of local atmosphere, speaking Italian is not required...sign language and sense of humor work.

Sure, we're Americans and we love our beer and pizza. But when we were traveling in Italy we certainly didn't expect to find this combination. The pizza is perfectly crisp and flavorful. There is a nice variety of beer on tap, something you don't always find in Italy, and the atmosphere is always lively. We were staying two weeks and ended up eat at Ex Officina three times!Grazie MaryAlice l'aspetto per farle assaggiare i nostri succulenti arrosticini fatti a mano. A presto Luigi

This is a simple village pizzeria that will not cost you much but serves excellent pizza and great arrosticini. If you have not tried these local specialities then this is a great place to start - sort of like lamb kebabs and you might order 5 to 10 each! Get the house wine and a pizza and a bunch of arrosticini and you will have a reasonable bill and lovely food. The restaurant is in a quiet village called Conaprato (ten minutes from Penne) with a bar down the road that is not always open! On a weekend in season the place will be packed with locals - mid week and out of season it will be quiet.I doubt any English is spoken but Stefano is helpful and hard to go wrong when ordering pizza! You can also do take away (but no delivery) if you are staying in one of the lovely places nearby.

Was looking for a restaurant to eat in Penne on a quiet Tuesday night and after walking around we came back to Tatobbe....We had the anti-pasta shared for two and it was simply great....lots of small plates with a mixture of hot and cold...be careful not to eat too much of the wonderful bread otherwise you will not manage your main course and maybe even your starter! We had a veal main which was well cooked and very tasty and a calzone which was just to much food....well almost! Nice restaurant that I would go back to without hesitation. Service polite and attentive without being obtrusive..Nice find.
