Went with the family. Simple menu of pizzas, salads and baked potatoes. Modern setting right in the center. Quality pizza, kids and Italian wife very happy. Had a baked potato with speck and gorgonzola, really good. Will definitely be back here

We've just returned from Sauze and dined at the La Griglia on the 30th and 31st. We stumbled across this place on our first night - not knowing that it is one of the few remaining restaurants with a clay oven. Had we known this, we would have gone for a pizza but we didn't and I'm afraid we made the wrong choice. My partner had a steak meal and I had Gnocchi which were just OK . . . not amazing as the reviews suggested. As we'd not forward planned and booked anywhere for New Years Eve, we decided to try our luck here. It was a set menu of 6 courses for 60 Euros. Our table was booked for 8:30pm and we were still waiting on the Main Course at 11:30pm - as a result, we had to leave in order to celebrate New Year in the square. Of the courses we ate, they were mostly "beige" and although they were OKish taste wise, they didn't look at all appetizing on a plate. I suspect that this place specializes in Pizzas and if you do visit, I would recommend that you still to these options. However, we must say that the service, welcome and staff were excellent.

Pizza and pasta dishes were well cooked. The wine (choice of 'red or white') was truly awful. Stick with beer or soft drinks. Service was friendly but credit card payment refused due to 'malfunctioning machine' - fortunately we had just enough cash as this wasn't pointed out before we'd eaten!

We appeared late last night on recommendation of the hotel we were staying in (they very kindly waited for us). Although almost 23:00hrs we were able to order at leisure and enjoy our food and drink calmly.Everything was excellent and reasonably priced... very good indeed!!

We really enjoyed our visit. Cosy, friendly atmosphere. We visited on a Sat night and the place was full of Italian families.We shared a starter, then had a pizza each. The pizzas were great & huge -we couldn't finish them ! The waitress spoke excellent English and offered to give us the leftovers home but since we were leaving the next day we didn't take them.

Tiny little restaurant with wood benches Ignazio is the owner-cook and do everything on the spot when you order...you can see him getting busy from a see through window separating the restaurant. Excellent tagliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms and polenta and cervo....not fixed menu price hence you will be paying a little more, but you can do like two french tourist..... sharing a pizza between them and leaving ....

Unpretentious delicious pizzas, fresh bread, excellent escalope and----fantastic grilled vegetables- not a few slices of veg but whole courgette, half onion, tomato, potato, fennel etc properly grilled. Highly recommended! Italian on next table ordered brochetta and local small cheese starter- also looked fabulous. Only wished we had found it earlier so we could go for another meal there- sadly, we are out of time!! Lovely friendly service!!

Tried to sum in the title...basically in this place you can taste top pizza's, amazing cheeses, tasty meats, with fresh and genuine ingredients and receipts, in a fantastic friendly environment, that actually after 10 mins you feel yourself being part of the family friends of the place. The people working there are smiling, funny, willing you to enjoy the food as their first priority.this gives the "cherry on the cake" to the ability of the people in the kitchen. I just discovered this place but of course they will see me again and again.
