Reviews on Pizza food in Oak Park, Illinois, United States. Architecture buffs will be well acquainted with Oak Park, once the home of Frank Lloyd Wright, where he designed and built some of his earliest buildings. Unity Temple, the Nathan G. Moore House and Wright's own former home and studio are among the many Wright buildings still preserved in the village, while buildings such as the Cheney Mansion were designed by his students. Oak Park is also the famed birthplace of Ernest Hemingway, whose childhood home is now a museum open to visitors.

The food is meh here. Kind of old-style and average. It's all edible, but not outstanding. The decor and restaurant itself, though, is in DIRE need of updating. It's super old school and made me feel like I'd been transported back to the 1980s or something.

When visiting the Chicago area, my family and I must make at least one visit to Salerno's in Oak Park. (My wife and I have been going to Salerno's for 20 years.) The food--not just the pizza--is professionally prepared and presented. We normally order pizza, salads, and wine/beer. This holiday, we ordered canole for dessert; it was as heavenly as canole gets...fresh and flavorful. The interior of the restaurant exudes warmth with dark colored woods and crisp white linen table cloths. It was especially beautiful with holiday lights throughout the restaurant and bar. The service is always good, but this time it was outstanding...very attentive without being obtrusive. This was a great holiday experience for our whole family. We'll continue to go to Salerno's in Oak Park.

My family and I visited Edwardo's again this past holiday. We were pleased for the most part. The pizza and salads were very good. The interior has been renovated so that it has less character, but it's much more professional, more attractive, and has a warm feeling. The service this time was OK. Our order was taken promptly and we understood that it would take about an hour for the deep dish pizza to be ready, but in the mean time no one checked to see if we wanted refills for drinks. In fact, we didn't get any attention after the pizza was served until we were ready to leave. We enjoyed the experience but wished for more attentive service.

We keep going back to Jimmy's for the wonderful comfort food I remember my nonna (grandmother) use to make. We love their pastas and braciola (rolled up steak).Their food and wine prices are more than fair. Service is always attentive and friendly. This is why we keep coming back!

Maybe pizza is their forte, but their dine in dinners are just okay. Very reasonably priced.Went there about 5:30 on a Friday night and were seated immediately. Wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. Dinner bread was good, but the portions were skimpy The salad that came with the meal was actually quite good and the house dressing was delicious.I had the Italian beef sandwich with steak fries. My wife had Chicken Limon. She says hers was good, but she wouldn't necessarily go back to this restaurant. My Italian beef had an amazing roll and the beef itself was extremely flavorful and tender. BUT, a) there wasn't much au jus, b) there wasn't ANY au jus on the side and c) worst, the au jus was extremely salty and, I'll bet, "canned".Yup, it's a good place for a quick bite and conveniently located, but I wouldn't make it a destination.

Famous Chicago-style deep dish pizza right in your neighborhood. Visit us for a family-friendly atmosphere and delicious food or order your meal online for pickup or delivery.
We stopped at Giordano's with another couple for dinner. We decided on a single large stuffed deep dish sausage & mushroom pizza which was more than enough for the four of us. We had called in the order, so there was very little wait when we arrived at Giordano's. Our server was friendly and efficient. The pizza was tasty, though not as good as some deep dish pizzas. But, it was still very good. The price was reasonable, since we had only ordered the pizza. This Giordano's is located just north of the Oak Park business district on Chicago Ave., just east of Harlem Ave.

Trattoria 225 is a full service restaurant and bar featuring rustic Italian dining. We offer wood-fired pizza, fresh salads, house-made pastas and a variety of artisan gelato. We strongly believe in supporting local producers and using organic products wh
We gave eaten here twice and enjoyed our meals, but it can be conversationally challenging. We ordered meals to be delivered in their weekly advertised dinner special. What really surprised me was that despite their chicken breast special being advertised as $16, I questioned the $19 charge. I was told that that must be a misprint and the price was $19, and I thought that stated that should be their problem and not mine, but the guy would not back down. Poor customer service.

The place is legendary and proves every time why!I always come in ready to buy a particular item. But my mind usually changes when I see the food displayed! Some fabulous food just calls my name and I have to get it.Just the other day, I came in open minded and the chicken parm and rice balls were calling me. They were awesome continuing the long amazing track record of great food from Freddyâs.Pizza, gelato and everything they make and sell is special. Do yourself a favor and experience Freddyâs!

Arrived at opening and we were warmly greeted by Roberto. After viewing the menu and given warm bread with olive oil, Roberto answered some menu questions. We ordered and thoroughly enjoyed Gnocchi alla Vodka and Penne Prosciutto e Piselli. Both meals were EXCELLENT and presented well.

This would be great pizza if it were the 1970s, and your other options were Little Caesarâs and Dominos. However, in the 21st Cenrtury, there are so many better options, even among national chains. Visitors to Chicago who feel compelled to try Chicago deep dish will find it here. Just donât confuse it with GOOD pizza. Hi Eric, we are sorry to see you had a disappointing experience with us. We would love to hear from you about this more directly. What could we have done better? Please click the link to fill out the corresponding information.
