Surprising that often folks still haven't heard of Newk's. We often eat there, buy gift cards for family there (they request it), and love introducing it to others. It's a southern chain - I lived near the original one for a few years and loved it. I prefer their chicken salad sandwiches and their Newk's Favorite salad. This one was the first in Arkansas and after having a very positive interaction with the manager today I thought I'd add a review/rating. Super nice guy.

We were so disappointed from the start to finish of our meal. The service was not just slow but we were totally ignored for 15 minutes. We asked for service and got drinks. Then 10 minutes later! Still no service. A girl came over and told us we were not her table but guessed she could help us. We asked her not to as her attitude was so bad. As we were leaving someo came. She was apparently new and did try but our order wasnât right and again everything was slow. We were disappointed and wonât go back.

Went last Sat at lunch for the buffet. My husband and myself both got sick. There was a server who checked in at 11:30 and was putting chapstick on his lips and then was putting his hands into his hair before severing the food.Our apologies that your visit was not up to your or our expectations. Wanted something and I'm alone so had a 6" pizza. Surprisingly more expensive and took longer than you would expect on a slow day with hardly anyone there. Crust was good. Had a scoop of Loblolly ice cream that was good. Don't know that I would search this place out

This place has such a cool vibe. It's modern, clean lines, quiet spot to relax after work or touring the area. Meatballs and whipped feta are good appetizers and several drink specials from 4-7 PM. They have nice salads and pizza, too. Good service.

Seated right away and took our order and brought drinks right away. It wsa very crowded so that may have backed up the kitchen. Our loaded large pizza took 40 minutes to be brought to the table. It was right out of the oven and it was very good. If we had not had the "delay" I would have given it five stars.

Agree with reviewers about the awkward set-up in this youthful, trendy little place - you wait in line to order, first salads, then pizza. It can be confusing, even intimidating, for first-time diners. First dinnertime visit. Early on a summer Sat. evening was a good time to go. parking for this somewhat hidden little place was better (other businesses there were closed) - small lot. Outside dining helped the cramped first floor from being so tight (there is an upstairs space too). People even brought their dogs!This couple shared a good Cobb salad, split in two. Dressing can be light medium or heavy - medium was perfect. Gluten-free pizza crust was pasty & pretty tasteless but toppings were fresh. Pizza was better on regular crust - try one with prosciutto! Only one menu option for those who do not care for tomato sauce base, but it turned out to be sparse so not a big deal. Bet theyâd sub. Plenty for two people with leftovers. Glass of wine for each brought the bill to about $60 - ok for dinner but for lunch, pretty steep. Would just as soon go to sit-down full service restaurant with more substantial tables & chairs (theirs are fitting for fast food or ice cream parlor). We paid extra separately for dessert - homemade gelato and sorbet - Excellent! Will likely go again when hungry for fresh, tasty salads. Or perhaps just for dessert!

Based on the enthusiasm of the other reviewers, I think my experience with American Pie might have been due to it being a takeout order rather than being eaten straight out of the oven. We had the cheese bread sticks, buffalo wings, a large bacon and black olive pizza, and a large pepperoni and mushroom. Everything was definitely good, but it wasnât the best Iâve had in the Little Rock area. I did really like their buffalo wings, and Iâm picky about buffalo sauce. I apologize that your take out experience was not what you expected. We typically have good reviews for both dine in and take out, but I think all pizza is better fresh out of the oven. Though this place has plenty of grunge, and in this instance cobwebs, the pizza is always reliably good. My husband and I have been enjoying their Firehouse Pale Ale and Vinoâs Special pizza for 15 years. The margarita pizza is also very good.
