Things to do in Monticello
The old Pizza Hut was a nasty mess so the company came in, demolished it and put a brand new sports bar type restaurant in but turned around and hired the same horrible staff back. Our waitress told us to hurry up and order because she was paying a babysitter and we were costing her money. The lunch buffet is a no brainer so it's amazing that we could still get bad service when all the waitress had to do was bring drinks. The building is nice but very little else makes me want to frequent the Liberty or Monticello Pizza Huts.

We wait all winter for them to reopen. The pizza has some spice to it. They also sell great knishes. No real atmosphere but none is expected. Always busy.

Stopped here while passing through. The bread was absolutely delicious & arrived hot. Our dinners came with a salad. I had chicken parmigiana. The spaghetti was good but the chicken was a little chewy. My husband ordered the zuppa de pesce, he said it was pretty good. Our waitress was nice & the service was decent. Iâd stop here again.
Friendly staff and good make this a good spot for the family. Plenty of seating but lacks atmosphere. The bathrooms were clean as was the rest of the restaurant. The pizza is consistently good and garlic knots are delicious. Typical Italian menu with the food being good.

I didn't find one thing not to like about Papa Luke's! The pizza was good, the dough was not too doughy, and was crispy, the cook and woman (long dark hair) behind the counter could not have been nicer or more accommodating, the restaurant is clean, the ambiance is lovely, and if you choose to eat outside, the view of the lake across the road, and the trees, are beautiful!I would definitely come back, when in the area!
Iâm very familiar with the Monticello area, having lived there in the 1980s. This restaurant has been around for awhile, but I never had the pleasure of trying it. We popped in just for a drink, thinking they had a bar you could sit at. Wound up having a couple of drinks and the most delicious baked clams, with a side of excellent bread for dunking in the thick, garlicky clam sauce. This place is a throwback to the wonderful Italian restaurants of days gone by in Monticello - Rockyâs, Carloâs, El Monaco, Frankie Greeneâs. Prices were reasonable. Staff was warm, welcoming and friendly. Loved it. Weâre going back for a full meal. Will review again after that!

I heard great things about BB from my co-workers and looked forward to trying them. We ordered 2 pies with various toppings and a calzone to go. The pies were way under-cooked and cheese was hardly melted. The sauce was ok but the crust wasn't to my liking. The calzone had some kind of strange aftertaste. The way my co-workers were raving I was expecting more. Guess I lived in New York City too long and am accustomed to a more refined pizza place.

Colosseo Family Restaurant & Pizzeria provides Catering, Wine and Beer, Pizza, Appetizers, and Entrees to the Monticello, NY area.
At the pickup or serving counter were twelve somewhat thin crust pizzas cut in large slices. Can't say exactly what type of pizza was selected, only describe what the toppings were- small cutup tomatoes, lettuce. one or two meats & one or two cheeses. One slice slice probably would have been enough, had two. Very filling & favorable.Seating is one full booth, booth/table, one round & square table with three chairs. Outside are three umbrella covered metal tables. The restaurant/pizzeria is just a short walk from a Best Western motel.A visit is recommended.
