Typical tourist rip off place. Poor quality food (tried lasagna and gnocchi), misleading customers (ordered fresh orange juice which was obviously from the can and Parma ham which could have been from everywhere except Parma) as well as poor service.

We were randomly passing by and the place just seemed to be an authentic Italian pizzeria, so we decided to dine there. The food was really good, and would definitely pass by again.

Pros:Convenient location,Short waiting time between food order and delivery to the table.Cons:Very basic service - one of the two ordered dishes was served wrong,Food was barely warm,Water glasses have bad water smell to them. When you finish, they bring you a bill and send you to pay to some other place - you need to walk out, cross the promenade, step into the bar and then queue at the counter with other visitors to pay your bill.

online they communicate a Happy hour 50% off drinks, but if you order a wine itâs not valid, and you have to pay more. It doesnât count on certain drinks, but they donât let it know you before: This âkind of communicationâ is a total ripp off.Madame, Our happy hour prices are all 50 percent off, (all drinks by the glass), except for our high end wines which are set at 5 euros instead of 8 euros during Happy hours. You choose the nicest wine on our happy hour menu at 5 euros. When you asked for your bill we understood that it was not to your convenience and we OFFERED the 2 glasses of wine !! How can you be disapointed !! ??

This looks good from the street and the food was OK but the service lets it down. I ordered a pizza and salad; the pizza was fine but the salad never materialised. My wife enjoyed her pasta carbonara. I got the impression that the staff were preoccupied with something else.

Try the delicious cannelloni and lasagna complemented by a simple fresh salad... followed by an amazing Apple Tart Tatin... quieter than other cafes in the area, we really enjoyed the ambience and very attentive service! No wonder such great ratings!

We stumbled across this friendly Italian restaurant for an early dinner, after sightseeing all day in Monaco. We ordered pizza, calzone and grilled prawns. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The bill was very reasonable, too. My son said the pizza was the best he ever tasted. We saw locals come to get takeaways. It's not a snooty place and we felt really relaxed. We tried to go back for lunch, but it wasn't opened till evening time on Saturdays, and so we had to go elsewhere, which was 30% more expensive as it's Monaco price. If you are near Carmes or St. Roman area in Monaco, do go to IL Giardino for a meal and you definitely won't be disappointed.
