Elements cafe bar & restaurant is open from 10am 7 days a week, all year, located on the cliff between Bude and Widemouth bay. Contemporary interior, beautiful bar, decking and lawns all overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A relaxed atmosphere and good value
We decided on Elements for our end of holiday treat dinner and what a great decision.Lovely welcome and a coffee while we waited for our table.Only gripe was unruly children running about and parents not controlling them, very rude but they soon went thank goodness!Maybe staff could ask them to control them or stop children under 10 eating at night, sorry to moan but it started to spoil a nice evening, we would never allow our children to behave like that. Several other tables exchanged the same disproving looks.Anyway moan over, the food, simply wonderful. We had garlic bread to start, nice and soft. For mains we had pizza, and pasta dishes all cooked to perfection and the presentation and taste were just so good.Ice cream to finish which again the flavours were something else.A really good Italian with friendly attentive staff, outside heated seating area we didn't use otherwise I would have been asleep!Deserving of a high rating, nice modern Italian twist.

Our last night in Bude and we popped in here as we walked past. Itâs basically a take a way with a few tables crammed in. The waitresses were friendly enough and took our order but got the drinks wrong, quickly sorted out. But then my lasagne arrived and what a disappointment. I like Lasagne and eat it regularly but this was the worst I ever had. I wish I had taken a photo but imagine a cube of lasagne on a flat plate completely covered in a tomato sauce that looked like a liquified tin of tomatoes. Not a great start. I scraped some of the sauce off and it was completely anemic underneath - no sign of a grill being used. The cheese was stringy and tasteless and pasta was soggy and over-cooked. Itâs was steaming hot on the outside but when I cut into the middle it was only luke warm, I always test this with lasagne as itâs a common problem- last time I ate a lasagne in this condition, in Gran Canaria, I was very ill for two days so I am now very careful. Bottom line, it was awful and I couldnât eat it, yes I could have asked for it to be reheated but it would still have been awful. I ended up having to get a ploughmanâs sandwich from the supermarket - so disappointing. We have eaten out in Bude every evening this week and had great food. Avoid this place and try The Deck, Surfin Frog, The Temple all of which are superb and much better value by comparison.Hello and thank you for leaving this feedback. We appreciate all forms of comments and criticism, as we're always happy to hear from our community. In terms of our table layout, we would instead comment that La Bocca aims to create an intimate and welcoming environment at our pizza kitchen. We are not a large corporate brand, certainly, and we believe our unique personality is expressed in the intimacy of our venue. We're sorry to hear that your drink order was initially incorrect, however we're sure our team were proactive in rectifying the issue when highlighted for their attention. And in regard to your feedback on our lasagne, we do appreciate your comments regarding your experience. We hope you took the opportunity to communicate this to our staff at the time, as we're sure they would have done everything possible to ensure you were 100% satisfied with your meal. Thank you for your suggestions of local eateries; as a Bude based business we love to champion our neighbours. The majority of feedback we receive suggests our customers are extremely happy with the quality of our meals at La Bocca, and so please feel free to visit us again in the future and we're sure you'll have an exemplary experience.

Small friendly café serving local produce as well as a carefully selected deli section with local charcuterie, olives, coffees and gifts.
Always service with a smile. Excellent quality foods. Love the ice cream. Clean, interesting but small cafe with outside seating. Closes early which I always find surprising in a holiday town.

My wife and I bought pizza from here. The advertisement of being the best pizza this side of Italy could not be further from the truth! They claim it is wood fired also giving an authentic taste. Well I would prefer a frozen pizza over eating from here any day of the week!Worst pizza I have had!
