Went for a guys night out. The pizza is excellent but the chicken parmigiana was really something special. The eggplant parmigiana was good but nothing special. I have eaten here before (for pizza and for a full meal) and the food is consistently very good to excellent. Portions are also large!
We wanted Italian takeout for our last meal in Livingston with the family and decided to try Turano's, which opened recently and is just minutes away from our niece and nephew's house. Niece, nephew, their 2 grown sons and the wife and I were all very happy with our meals. The place is tiny and only has 2 small tables for eating in. Our meals included a stromboli, a spinach roll, chicken savoy, chicken Sorrentino, Valentina's favorite salad, a bacon cheeseburger, garlic break and fries.

Unfortunately, there is a lack of good pizza places in the area now. The pizza was just so-so. The only positive was that they delivered and they were on time. We ordered a meatball pizza and the meatball had zero flavor. We also ordered a plain pizza where part of the crust was missing. The pizza sauce lacked flavor, too. We also ordered a Caesar salad. The bottom of the salad was drenched in water so it was clear that they did not fully dry the lettuce. This made the croutons soggy. I am not sure that I would go back to this place because they are slightly pricey and nothing special.
I tried some of Cammarata's pizza and it wasn't bad. It was a little burnt on the bottom, but it actually tasted pretty good. I just didn't like that there was no place to sit down in there to eat it.

The ability to customize your Pizza in many ways makes their very well prepared thin crusted Pizza an excellent choice. The improvement since they first opened is the experience gained by the staff. The service which was previously unacceptable is now acceptable- not excellent but it is satisfactory. Put up with it and enjoy their Pizza.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in the Town Center in Livingston is a good spot to dine for anyone -- families, couples, friends, kids. It is a large and pleasant space with a parking lot right outside. There is a full bar for those who are interested in adult beverages. The menu offers both pizza and other Italian fare. There were seven in our party, and we stared off with chicken wings (very good -- not barbecue, but with roasted onions) and an arugula salad (also very good). We got three different pies, one regular, one margarita, and one with half eggplant and half broccoli rabe and sausage. All three were excellent. The coal fired oven does make a difference, and the toppings were all of good quality. Our server was very efficient and friendly. This is my first experience with Anthony's (there are quite a few of them in NY and NJ), but I will be sure to return.

We recently had pizzas delivered from Livingston Pizza and the pizza tasted very good. The issues with the pizzas was they were too oily and the crusts were rock hard. The other issue was with the delivery. The guy on the phone told us 45 minutes, but it took them 1 hour and 30 minutes. Customer service is lacking here.

Marra's is a local restaurant the which always meets your expectations. My linguine with white manilla clam sauce was cooked to perfection, although it could have used a bit more sauce for bread dipping. The Chicken Milanese was also seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. The service was very efficient. The server was attentive and courteous. My only complaint, which is outside of the restaurant's control, is the clientele seemed to be on the rude and impolite side of normal. Although not enough for me to stop eating at the establishment.

Let me start by saying this is a very casual counter service restaurant with cafeteria style service and tables. This is not a sit down waiter service restaurant. It is a Kosher restaurant as well, which means it is closed on Saturday.Jerusalem Restaurant has consistently been excellent for as long as I have been going there (over 20 years). If you are interested in Mediterranean style food, they have it all. Chumus, babaganoosh, every type of salad you could think of. What I love about the place are their dinner plates, that allow you to choose any three items behind the counter. Food is clearly prepared fresh, and every day the variety switches up just enough to keep you interested week after week to return. I would say I eat here at least once a week, sometimes more. For those of you interested in Pizza, they have very unusual vegetarian pizzas, for example, Pepperoni, Sausage and onion, Taco pie, Baked ziti pie, stuffed crust, and many more. There is also a fish selection each day and always a small sushi bar, producing decent sushi on the smaller side. (I would not come here for the sushi, but it certainly is not bad, its just not a sushi restaurant). Favorite Dishes: Jerusalem plate (5 different Mediterranean salads and falafel balls and a couple of pita breads), enough to share. I am also a huge fan of the teriyaki salmon.

We have been going off and on to this place for years. Never disappointed, always fresh and tasty food. I love their salads and combination of appetizers. There is probably not a single food that I haven't tried, but as getting more "mature" my choice are 3-4 appetizers- piccoli piatti, never missed their shrimp-gambretti. My other choice is Tropical salad with shrimp. Their orange flavored ice tea is my favorite drink. Service is always fast and bread comes to the table in no time. Both patio and especially outside terrace in warmer weather is my first choice. We like to come by in late afternoon hours for late lunch - early dinner, never crowded and you get a full attention of the waiters, always.
