Things to do in Leicester

We had such high hopes for this place as we have been reading reviews for ages and were so excited to go. We were expecting a cozy homestyle Italian restaurant that is not a chain. We were utterly disappointed. We ordered Bruschetta starters and were already confused about the wording on the menu (bread with tomatoes and garlic butter). First of all there is absolutely no butter on traditional italian bruschetta and when it came to the table we found it to be toasted garlic bread with 3 halfed tomatoes on top. When the mains came the pizza that we ordered was bland with absolutely no flavour to it whatsoever. The pasta was ok, nothing special. We refrained from having dessert. We were looking for a gidden gem in the city with AUTHENTIC, FRESH and TASTY food but have to say that this is not the place to go.

An uber-cool Wood oven Pizzeria in Leicester, keeping it simple, slow-rise sourdough pizzas that are topped with a volcanic grown tomato, fiori di latte cheese, cured meats, and cooked for 90 seconds.Serving bottled refreshments, with furniture which is a
We have been before, but took the niece and nephew this time.Well the thin crust pizzas, and good choice of toppings went down a treat. Also a couple of nice bottles of ale (including a dark one) on offer for the grown ups.Good friendly staff in a quirky setting of an old Gentleman's Club brought up to date with a number of film posters and paraphernalia.Hi alanhardwickThanks for taking the time to write us a review. We love that you enjoyed our pizzas and our beers. See you again very soon in one of our restaurants.

The Tree is situated in Leicester city centre serving freshly made artisan pizzas, bubbling pots of comfort food, a delicious vegan menu, plus seriously tasty beers and cocktails. We have a glorious garden and welcome our canine friends in the bar area.
Since changing its image/ownership I thought I would check out the changes. I was quite disappointed. For a pub/bar I was hoping to have the standard snacks of nachos or potato skins. Maybe even some chips but I was rapidly dismissed when asking about snack foods saying they donât have any. If I wanted any food I had to order from the menu. Sides available were things like coleslaw. The menu itself looked pretty limited. Drinks were ok and I do admit their Cuba Libre was well made but with the new rebranding I found The Tree to be no different. Bit of a shame really.Hey navinleanage,Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback, but equally sad to hear how you feel regarding the slight food changes. We have 2 food menus now, our regular menu as well as our vegan menu curated by our very own head chef Bruce. Although we donât offer chips and nachos as we used to, we do offer bar snacks like crisps and nuts, nibbles such as chicken and cauliflower wings, a sharing grazer, and smaller pots/nibbles like our king prawns and garlic mushrooms which are super tasty! We hope you revisit us and we can change your mind. Thanks, Amy
