We get the take out Pizza here about once a month and they never let us down. We order on line for take out pickup and it's always ready on time and always excellent.
I stopped here on my way back to Portsmouth, where there are very few good, classic pizza joints, for some strange reason. I had the Romano's Classic and it was really good -- nice crust and tomato sauce, good mozzarella, salami and mortadella. There were a lot of phone and takeout orders while I was there. The two women behind the counter were polite and friendly. The place looks like it's from the seventies and could use an update, but it's part of the experience. There's another Romano's nearby in Methuen. I wish they would come to Portsmouth, too.

Made one of my infrequent trips to Lawrence and had to revisit Napoli's. Had a slice of the best meat pie around($3.00) and a slice of their famous pizza($1.50). Certainly enough to satisfy anyones cravings. Curbside parking is metered in front of the shop but I found a free space directly around the corner.

We ordered delivery service. Our pizzas were hot, and the crust and toppings were delicious and there were some really unusual toppings you could choose form. We also ordered a garden salad and it was crisp and fresh. The prices were very reasonable. We would order again.

Cute little pizza place. Went one day since it was biking distance and I didn't have a car. Staff is friendly and fast. First time I had chicken wings and fries and they were perfect! Had pizza the next time. Not my favorite, but it was a good pie, and my kids new favorite. I'll be back

There are very few options near the hotel on Riverside Road. One night I kept driving past the hotel and found this place. The first night I ordered the greek salad topped with grilled chicken AND the second night I ordered the salad top with steak tips. Both delicious! Chicken grilled perfectly and the steak tips so tender. Both salads with drink were under $15.00. I waited for my first salad and despite calling in my second order for the second I still had a bit of a wait; worth the wait each time. Just show up 20 -25 minutes for pickup instead of the standard 15 minutes they say.

Jim's Original Subs & Pizza is a family owned New York style restaurant based in the city of Lawrence, MA.
Simply stated above, not what they used to be. Back in the day Jims was the place to go for good food and fair prices. Now its over priced and the food is poor. Its sad to say but I used to eat there often, now I'd rather somewhere else.I'm really disappointed to hear that your more recent experiences with us weren't as good as they should have been. Our prices have risen over time, yes, but we had to adjust based on the economy. However, if your meals also didn't taste how you had hoped, I apologize. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please don't hesitate to call us.Best,Jim, Owner

I've been going here since I was a child. The meat pie is amazing and no one makes it like this place. It's consistently good. Call ahead and get takeout. You won't be disappointed. If you want to eat the meat pie later you can pick it up cold and heat it up in the oven yourself when you are ready to eat it.

No this is not fine dining. It is missing the excessive glitter, and the decorations BUT..........It is a very pleasant, well served, comfortable place for friends for family. Service is pleasant and accommodating and not too fast. The food selections are robust with fine sauces on Fra Diavolo, Picatta, and a nice Parmigiane. Beer and drink selection is spot on. You might think that the atmosphere would be very loud in a restaurant in a former textile factory but even with open seating the sound from neighboring tables was not a bother. Perhaps the comfortable and padded seating had something to do with that. Our children ages from 8 to 12 were well cared for.
