Since moving house we have tried Alfies chip shop and another chip shop just up a bit on low waters road, wouldn't rate the latter. Alfies by far been the best. We have ate from here a handful of times now and each time the food has been really good and great value for money. The macaroni is a firm favourite, pizza crunch said to be lovely and the fish supper was nice & fresh too. I would say if you don't like a lot of salt maybe salt yourself I got way too much on a single hamburger before but since then I just ask for nothing on and it's lovely. Glad we tried this place would def recommend it to others.

It is a real shame having frequented Bar Milano for a number of years, to report that it has really gone downhill. Sitting watching customers with dogs allowing them on their lap to eat from their plate.........is not very hygienic. The bar service was really poor. Could we wind the clock back and get back to where is was a few years ago a great place to go for food and a relaxing drink.

Staff were friendly and welcoming and drinks arrived quickly. The menu has been refreshed and some familiar dishes have a fresh twist. My haggis arancini were delicious as were the other starters of scallops, Brie and minestrone.I ordered penne Arabiatta and asked for tuna to be added along with excellent extra chilli and it was excellent. My mother-in-laws salmon was beautifully cooked and the pizzas had lots of fresh toppings. Despite the large portions we managed to squeeze in desserts and again all we lovely. This place never disappoints.

Stopped in for dinner after going to the cinema. I had a Groupon voucher which was 2 courses for 2 people £19.99. We were seated straight away and order taken shortly thereafter. We had bruschetta and chicken wings to start, both delivered soon after ordering, fresh and tasty. For main we had a veggie burger and NY deli burger, again warm and tasty. Service was good, the waitress checked with us a couple of times to make sure everything was ok. Good value for money, will return and would recommend.

Family run restaurant established for 17 years traditional food including seafood and grill and new innovative dishes
My wife and I were headed back to Lanark and as usual we were a bit lost. We decided to stop at the next place we came across and to our fortune it turned out to be Prego. We were seated right away and our drinks were ordered and delivered. Dinner for me was chicken and spaghetti and she had tortellini. Both were delicious and made to order. For dessert she had amaretto, ice cream and espresso and I had the best sticky pudding I have ever had. The food to value ratio was very good and service was attentive. I would recommend this place.

Fabulous Tuesday Treat, staff very welcoming & friendly throughout. We opted for a Hawaiian pizza & an Il Capriccio pizza - both freshly stretched pizza dough, ample toppings & just right amount of cheese to sauce. 2 optional sides, wonderful crispy fries & an insalata mista, washed down with 2 glasses of wine & change out of £30.00Thereâs a deal if there was one..

What a find in this little town - lovely friendly and attentive service by the young woman front of house; super smooth glass of house red (a fruity Merlot); and great fresh food. Glorious plump mussels weâre on the 2-course lunch special with either white wine or tomato sauce & a slice of garlic bread. The creamy spinach & ricotta cannelloni was a treat. Large portion topped off with fresh basil. If youâre in Hamilton this place would be great for lunch or dinner.

The food is always fresh and hot. Large portions ( 2 pieces of fish) we can share although not the cheapest.Parking can be a problem at busy times. Staff members acknowledge you but interpersonal skills could be improved, as not many laughs.
