We were not familiar with Z Pizza chain but the front desk assured us that they eat their often and have had good reviews from hotel guests, they were absolutely right. Our hotel was near by and had their contact info, I ordered online and 20 min later walked over to pick up our piping hot pizza. Tasted fantastic, I would have given them 5 stars but we try to go with thin crust and that was not an option they had- but the crust was delicious- ate every bite. I am more familiar with pizza chains so this was new for us. would definitely recommend to anyone- kids loved it too!

It seems like these places are popping up all over the place. Very similar to Piology, Mod Pizza, etc.A cute twist they have wines and beer that you pour yourself and pay by the ounce. Pizza is pretty average and not as many toppings as some of the competitors. Only problem is that it is substantially higher priced than the rest. $24 is two much for an individual pizza and two beers.

After a brilliant sunset at Laguna Beach, a dinner at Sorrento adds a nice family touch to the end of the day. We ordered a fried calamari starter and it arrived quickly and was freshly cooked calamari. It arrived hot and crisp and not oily but the calamari was a bit rubbery. The marinara sauce was bold and full flavored match to the calamari.I tried the Chicken Arturo which was a blend of slices of chicken breast with roasted peppers, mushrooms and artichokes. All the vegetables were tender and flavorful and was well bound by a silky cream sauce. The dish incorporates penne pasta which was served al dented. The primavera was similar with an Alfredo sauce and laced with well cooked vegetables, zucchini, carrots etc. Bread is on the table but it is a soft spongy Italian bread that can be used to sop up some sauce.The walls are decorated with pictures and memorabilia of Italy and give a family tone to the place. There is seating for about 50 people but with a half house the noise in the room can inhibit conversation even in small groups.

Great pizza: deeply flavorful unlike so many places and slices. The biggest hit was the poutine. Anyone whoâs visited north of the border will know the Canadian originators if this hearty dish set a high bar. It was as good at you can get. Itâs a dish thatâs you make or break with the gravy, and on this occasion it was delicious, an an ample quantity. Cheese and fries were first rate too. Definitely merits a return visit. The location too is really handy for the beach and the town.

We love pizza but we are very particular about the crust. In this case we were disappointed. Mid-afternoon on a Friday the restaurant was almost empty. Service was very friendly. We ordered 2 pizzas - Pepperoni, and Rosemary. The crust was too stiff and crisp, and it had no flavor. The arugula on the Rosemary pizza was cooked (not our thing) and there was almost no cheese. Overall we were disappointed.

A restaurant is about details. The combination of good service, good food, and ambiance is unbeatable. And this restaurant finds a way to screw up some category almost every time we order from it.The old joke "I'd like my pizza burned on the bottom raw on the inside with sauce too hot to eat"; "I'm sorry sir, we can't do that"; "Why not, you did it last time I was here" fits this place. There are times Ginas is perfect, and you think "Thank goodness. Somebody did some training." And then you go back, and they forget to put in the salad dressing; or they burn the crust; or they leave the pizza undercooked; or the toppings are sparse; or the sauce is too spicy. And then, five or six times later, they do it perfectly again. And you wonder why you only get good food 20 percent of the time.Is this a rant? No, it's a plea. The five and four star reviews have to tell you that they are capable of doing it right. But they have to start doing it right all (or nearly all) of the time. Unless somehow we are their chosen whipping boys, Ginas just doesn't do that. And it could--it has great potential. Sad to waste it.

I ordered the jambalaya, itâs supposed to come with chicken shrimp and sausage, it came with no sausage so I told my waiter. He apologized but the manager felt he needed to come out and check. He proceeded to point into my dish at a piece of chicken and say âah yes, I see it. Itâs there!â I said â... thatâs chicken.â And he was like âoh yeah.â Totally rude and like... just give me my sausage. Finally they brought me out a plate of sausage on the side which was not satisfactory as Iâm sure the sausage being cooked in the dish would have added to the flavour. Manager was not professional or nice about the mistake they made. Should have given me a discount too as I didnât get my sausage until everyone had finished their dinner.

A very busy place whose menu is skewed towards Italian food slightly. The wine selection is very good and reasonably priced considering that we were in Orange County.We have been there a few times.Their pizza is only average with a thin, chewy crust. But their entrees and specials are very good. The wait staff is very friendly . Their desserts are also very good.This is a good place to go when wanting a casual evening with a lot of friendly people packed in very closely. The pizza was old school. Thick yeasty crust with crunch and flavor. Lots of cheese and piping hot ingredients. Really superb. Itâs a no frills place that needs some upgrading but it caters to the locals. I liked the house special. The medium would feed four adults.

Usually when we have Italian food we get a few different dishes and share and this time was no different. We had the Capricciosa Pizza and the Tortelloni di Carne. It was a perfect meal and the bread they brought out to start was so good. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere is romantic. We love this place.
