It is situated 44 miles (71 km) northeast of Pittsburgh, along the east bank of the Allegheny River. The name Kithanink means 'on the main river' in the Delaware language, from kit- 'big' + hane 'mountain river' + -ink (suffix used in place names). "The main river" is a Lenape epithet for the Allegheny and Ohio, considered as all one river. The borough and its bridge were used as a setting for several recent films.

This Fox's is tucked away on a side street and is easy to miss. That would be too bad since it's pretty good, in fact my favorite pizza joint in Kittanning. This restaurant shares a building with Clark's Landing, another business with an apostrophe in its first name.Although Fox's is a franchise, I've discovered a great deal of variety in the food quality between stores. This one is a good one, maybe the best Fox's I've ever eaten at. The pizza dough was fresh and cooked to order, the sauce was tangy, and the toppings were generous.This location is primarily a take out joint, but there are a few tables in the store, and we were offered paper plates and stainless cutlery to use when we opted to "eat in."The store manager was friendly and despite being busy making pizzas, found a few moments to chat with us while we waited.Recommended, if you want a pizza in Kittanning, you can't go wrong with this location. You also will go away with some leftover money in your wallet, the prices are very reasonable.

This Hungry Detective was in Kittanning yesterday and you know what that means??? A trip to Sirena Pizza for a large round pie with extra cheese(real), pepperoni and mushrooms served up hot and fresh. Take it from an old pizza man who worked at Sirena Pizza in Butler, Pa back in the early 80's...Sirena Pizza does not compare...It's the best hands down!!! Believe it or not I was a Pizza Man before I started chasing bad guys!!!I was a little disappointed with the fact that I was not offered the 5 o'clock special of the day but business is business...I guess!!!VERDICT: If your in the Kittanning area stop in and ask for the daily special and order yourself some of the pizza around.

Ordered to hotel.. pie was blaa.. cost $$$A frozen Tombstone pie.. much better. Disappointed.On the box printed " Rated #1" but not who rated it... the only way this would be #1 is if it were the only pizza joint in town..disappointed.

Pizza is excellent. Love the taco pizza. The subs are really good too...especially love the steak and the seasoned French fries. Everything is good...have never had an issue at Mel's.
