This place has both great pizza and pasta. Their small lunch pizza is the perfect size (smaller than some of our "personal" size pizzas), it is just right. Sometimes they also have lobster ravioli, which is really delicious. Their other pastas are also good. The staff is very nice. They also do delivery,
The menu is nearly impossible to decipher. When we asked questions, the staff treated us like we were mentally disabled and STILL did not explain it thoroughly. There are virtually NO descriptions of the items on the menu, regardless of the language. I ate a piece of squid that I thought was a piece of mozzarella and ended up having a horrible allergic reaction that night. The service was slow and begrudging, and most of what we ate was so-so. We would not ever go back.

Pretzels are one of my favorite snacks and Ditsch had the freshest warmest pretzels of any of the shops near the Sheraton hotel. The sales clerk was so friendly and got to know me over the week I was there. The sandwiches they had were really good as well...I had the chicken sandwich one day for dinner.

We happened to be staying in the hotel on the Posthof, and discovered this place. What a find! Their Italian salad was the best we'd had in a month (mostly in France)! Outstanding antipasti! Busy, friendly staff speaks Italian + a bit of English and French. Yummy pasta dishes--a great variety on the menu. Possibility of eating outside, too. Highly recommended!

I have been here before but decided to write a review this trip. Da Renato is near the Top International Airport Hotel where I was staying. This trip did not disappoint. The Pizza Romana (tomato sauce, mushrooms, salami and cheese) was cooked perfectly. The crust was just as I like it, thin and crispy. The sauce was really flavorful and all in all it was a super Pie! There daily specials are posted on the slate by the door and are worth checking out. I just had a hankering for a Pizza Pie and a beer!

Had dinner at this place tonight. Despite the heat I had to try the Pizza Classica (salami, cheese and mushrooms). It was fantastic! Crust was just so, good fresh ingredients. The service was friendly. It was really hot and sunny today so it was a bit warm in the restaurant, but it was worth it! Highly recommend it. I have some more time to spend here, I will be back and try something else!

Small intimate setting. Excellent Italian food. This was the best food i had in Frankfurt during my week stay. It was the best Italian food i have had anywhere in the USA.. I can no longer be satisfied with what i can find at home. Da Michele's menu was extensive and creative. It would have been nice to have one menu in English. However, everyone there -including customers, were helpful in picking out what we should have to eat. Their choices were exactly what i like. The chef was very pleasant and visited our table many times. Though i couldn't speak the local language somehow we managed to communicate. The wine and grappa flowed abundantly. The food was surprisingly inexpensive. A very good value! There was too much food to eat. We left with the remainder of the food in tow for others to enjoy the next day. I will come here every time i am in Frankfurt.

You couldn't get a more typical Italian pizzeria than the Amalfi: wood-fired oven, chequered tablecloths on the tables, shelves of wine bottles and wall murals of the "Costiera Amalfitana". The pizzaiolo himself (i.e. chef) looks like the quintessential Italian guy from Naples. The staff is very friendly (at least after a bit of ice-breaking) and the atmosphere very family-like.The food is pretty good and that is also the opinion of a few colleagues of mine whom I took to this restaurant and were happy to come back. I tried a number of pizzas and a couple of pastas and always left full up and satisfied. They are also happy to make customised pizzas, if you fancy some particular combination of toppings. The only thing I would change of their pizza recipe is the amount of salt in the dough; I'm sure a lot of people like it pretty salty, but I would definitely prefer a "reduced salt" or even "no-salt" pizza (could that be an idea for a "Tuscan pizza"? I think it would be great).I'll probably be back again in Frankfurt for business, sooner or later, and already know where to go for dinner, when I'm near the airport.
