Have been here a few times and Victoria being a chain are usually pretty good. The last time was the most shocking experience. A business meal of 3 people two main courses had to be sent back. The Calzone on the first dish raw and cold. A rib eye steak on the second meal over cooked and cold. When we complained the waiter showed no interest and blamed the chef. Taking the rib eye steak away he returned with âchefs complimentsâ a new meal. The chef had taken the rejected steak cut it up into slices and returned it to us as a main course with salad. Shocking. In leaving when we explained that we were. not paying a tip after paying for the full meal the waiter started arguing with us that the service was good. Generally restaurants in Bulgaria are pretty good and Victoria as a chain is usually reliable but I have never experienced a meal served with such contempt by both the chef and waiter. The manager who is usually present at this venue was not present this night. A shocking experience. Pity because we will never return to Victoria.

We nearly didn't bother to notice this place given it's name and all the comments re pizza. My husband won't eat pizza when there is a whole world of traditional food to try!But we popped in one evening because it was the closest open restaurant to our apartment and the weather looked threatening. I had a medium pizza and it was delicious and a perfect size for me. One of us had a small pizza and they are a great choice for kids or older people with smaller appetites. My husband had a local salad and a sach, a sizzling pan of veg and meat which he loved. The local wine was delicious and really good value at 4.5 BGN for half a litre. We liked it so much we went back again and tried a pasta dish which was great and unlike a previous review, we found the sauce really tasty. We also had the stuffed mushrooms, chicken gizzards, grilled veg, crispy potatoes and a delicious sesame seed flatbread. It was all simple, flavoursome and well cooked so we really don't understand some comments about sticking to the pizza! The service was great, not rushed, no waiting for too long, just perfect.A couple of things, the restaurant is at the base of the old town, go down the road to the ruins of the east gate, turn right as you face the gate and it is a 80 metres or less on the junction of the next street up to the old town. There isn't a view of the old town though so don't come here for views, just good value, good food with nice service. If you don't smoke, you will be seriously out-numbered in any Bulgarian restaurant so be careful where you chose to sit, the open side terrace is the smokers favoured spot, we found the front road facing porch the best spot to avoid fumigation! Plovdiv is our final stay after a tour around Bulgaria and we were astonished to find such good value, decent food in the city in a 'pizzeria'!

Worth visiting to sit outside and enjoy the sun. I also like that they state the calories in every item in the menu. Not a lot of vegan options but of course they are always happy to just cook the dish without cheese or meat. I recommend the fried potatoes with garlic and dill as a good vegan option.

This place was really unique. The Mexican has a strong Italian flavor to it. It's not bad, but it's different. Nice people and great atmosphere. Go here for Italian, but I prefer Sombrero for Mexican.

Definitely my favourite place to have pizza in town. You can choose the type of dough, sauce and toppings you want and create your own pizza. After choosing everything it takes less than 2 minutes for the pizza to be ready. Delicious, fast and budget friendly - I definitely recommend this place.

Stayed in Hirsarya for 3 nights and on the first night hit TA for some recommendations. Toscana lived up to other positive reviews and they were kind enough to have an English menu, even allowing me to add elements. Their English was much better than my minuscule Bulgarian and they were extremely helpful: the pasta was homemade and I can heartily recommend the Carbonara

Italian Restaurant And Wood Oven Pizza With A Lot Of Salads Starters And Main Dishes Including Steaks
I ordered the above dish and dessert for lunch here. The chicken pot pie dish has pieces of chicken, zucchini, mushrooms and tomatoes at the bottom of the pot. It was tasty and delicious.Per suggestion of my waiter, I had baked cheese cake with drizzling of chocolate. Again, it was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it.Total of my main dish, dessert and hot tea is 15 levas plus tipNote: Though i dined inside, I was bothered by another customer who sat on the table next to mine and started smoking. I hurriedly moved to another table where the smoking and non- smoking areas are separated by glass partition. There I enjoyed my dessert. My wait staff did not seem to be bothered by my moving. Will eat here again, but will dine at the partitioned areas.

Charming and friendly Italian restaurant in the very center of Plovdiv. Our Working time is from Monday to Saturday from 05.00 PM to 12.00 PM. We open during lunch time or on Sunday only with reservations.
Went here based on the reviews. While it was good, I do feel it is being over hyped. To us it was just average. Not bad, but certainly not special. Like the venue, the waitress could have smiled more, looked pretty dour most of the time. The chef (owner?) was very nice. We arrived at 5:30. They don't open till six. The chef yelled threw a window that we could come in and wait inside. That was nice. He then gave us some warm bread and cheese to snack on while we waited. Also very nice. Decent mix of local and Italian wines. Nice sized menu. We had a pizza, the veal saltimbocca, the veal pizzaioli, and the mussels. All were fine but, as I said before, nothing special. The chef tried to talk us out of the saltimbocca, saying we'd have to wait too long. Not sure why, looked simple enough when it was served. Anyway, good but by no means great.
