Our business held our awards night here on Monday and it was the best night. We even managed to get the manager up to sing and play his guitar. The food and service was excellent! Great spot

There are basically 2 places (restaurants) to eat in Marahau. This is one of them. After a grueling day of tramping (Kiwi for hiking) or ocean kayaking, and you're too tired to even take a shower or change your clothes, and all you want is a cold beer and a relaxing atmosphere, with friendly young wait-persons from around the globe, and plenty of seafood dishes worthy of a place on the ocean shore, and even a wood-fired pizza oven in the casual outdoor seating area, and cozy covered indoor/outdoor seating if it's raining, and a good list of decent local beers (we're in the hops raising capital of NZ here) and local wines, and a quiet cacophony of languages other than your own all around you .... well, even it was wasn't founded by a hippy 40 years ago, it's still a great place to go, relax and eat.

The Sprig & Fern Tavern in Motueka is somewhat of a hidden gem set behind the busy main street. We are a traditional, friendly kiwi tavern with a bright, fresh interior. There are no TVs or pokies to distract you from enjoying the excellent craft beer and
The teachers at my school decided to go here for a farewell party because their menu advertises gluten free and vegan options, and that they accomodate dietary requirements or allergies. I spoke at length with two different servers about GF and vegan options before ordering because gluten has landed me in the hospital before and I generally keep a vegan diet. I saw a vegetarian pizza on the menu, gluten free with goat cheese. I asked if they could take the cheese off, they said no, everything is pre-made, but I also know that goat cheese isnt so hard on my digestive system like cow and I was sharing with a group so we ordered that and fries. When the meal came, the fries looked suspicious to me and everyone else at the table said "dont worry, they're just deep fried". I decided to check yet again and it turned out that yes, they are breaded, and it doesnt say so on the menu and the servers didnt know. The pizza came, it looked greasy but good, we ate it, it was delicious, and a friend ordered a second. The second was covered in mozzerella. It turns out our pizza had had mozz on it too but since it was a bit overcooked, you couldnt see it from under the veggies. Needless to say I've had a headache for going on 20 hours and it sucks. I asked to talk to the manager as 1. this could have been a dangerous situation if I hadnt triple checked and 2. why am I giving money to people that are feeding me food that I don't ask for, that isnt as advertised, and that made me sick. I was told that the managers were out of town for three weeks and I could bring it up with them when they return. Really? No one pit in charge in their absence? No one to deal with customer complaints? No one to rectify the situation for three weeks? Needless to say, I'm never going to Sprig and Fern again.

Coming from Riverside (thankfully bringing their brisket with them)- the move has allowed the owners to cast their magical touch over the whole beautiful place. Great atmosphere, better food, and awesome support to local artists. They sure know how to do it right!
Pizza Hub NZ have Variety of Pizzas?sides, Gluten Free, Dine In, Takeaway, Delivery, we do free delivery and eftpos is available.
This was the only takeaway pizza we came across in a rudimentary search and we werenât disappointed. Pizza size was on small side, but that seems to be NZ in general- âextra largeâ is a medium to me... Generous potions of sides though and 2 for $8 deal is great value. Quick and friendly service, hot fresh pizza, all round can recommend.
