A very nice atmosphere with an excellent service and a divine food, the selection of starters is nice with a large varieties, the mains and the pizza are unbelievably good and dessert are spot on. Thanks to Gianluca ( the owner ) for the amazing dinner I truly recommend to all the locals and the visitors to spend a quality dinner or lunch in Totò restaurant

This is a restaurant for meat eaters. I am not sure if there are many vegetarian options. The food is good, natural and wholesome and perfect for this mountain setting. The peaks of the Gran Sasso range can be seen in the background.Staff and service very good. You can eat indoors in aircon or outdoors al fresco.Clean.Good choice of 1st courses ie. gnocchi home-made on the premises or pasta.2nd or main courses plenty of grilled meat which is cooked to perfection. Tender and succulent.Good selection of local wines which are most welcome.We didn't have a dessert but I am sure they were good.Very decent prices in comparison to city charges. For â¬25 a head we had 2 first courses - gnocchi and pasta then a wide selection of meats and veg. great value for money.

I stayed two nights and had lunch one time in this wonderful place. Mauro, Alessandra and Maya are amazing people, they took care of me as if I was a family member. The room were I stayed was beautifully decorated, clean, quiet and comfortable. The piadina was great, with only fresh and natural ingredients!

In tutta sincerità non è un locale che sceglieremmo per una cena particolare. Eâ abbastanza dispersivo e non concede una minima intimità â¦â¦.e poi quel megaschermo. Va bene che câera la partita Roma-Barcellona ed evidentemente ai loro clienti abituali interessa quello, maâ¦â¦. Noi ci abbiano cenato per comodità , perché ospiti dellâalbergo inserito nella stessa struttura e della medesima proprietà . Dopo aver descritto le negatività dobbiamo aggiungere che abbiamo mangiato più che dignitosamente: 2 corposi hamburger di chianina accompagnati da abbondante contorno ed annaffiati da discreta birra artigianale. Stavamo per assegnare 3 stelle, ma poi ci siamo ricordati della giovanissima e carinissima cameriera (Micaela?) che forse perché somigliante a nostra figlia, ci ha fatto tenerezza ed allora la quarta stella è tutta merito suo.Anche se dobbiamo aggiungere che la cortesia è prerogativa dell'intera famiglia che gestisce albergo e ristorante.

Great restaurant, the food was excellent and the service was wonderful !! Nothing was a trouble,even arriving at around 4.00pm for lunch famished .The tables beautifully hand painted and the walls in the restaurant were painted with local scenes by artists in Castelli.A little gem run by a local family that are trying to exist after the earthquake in near bye towns has left this town with less tourists.Do yourself a favour and visit Castelli and the Grue Caffe!!Thank You for Your Time in our Ristorante . Locale unico con pochi tavoli intorno ai 40/50 coperti. Arredamento essenziale e spartano ma , nel complesso, gradevole. Abbiamo preso pizze di gusti diversi e tutte molto buone. Curato il servizio e ragionevoli i tempi di attesa. Eccezionali i costi che tra pizza e bevande sono stati decisamente inferiori ai 10 euro a persona.

We have been to Merlini lots of times over the years and the pizza by the metre is buonissimo,very light with different toppings great for 3/4 people, there is an excellent menu as well.To finish off, they make their own ice cream you are spoilt for choice and during the winter theymake their own chocolate.Merlini is a family run business, if you are in Abruzzo don't miss a visit here.Dear customer we're really happy yhat you have enjoyed. ci siamo capitati per caso: siamo stati veramente fortunati. Abbiamo mangiato bruschette assortite: fatte bene e deliziose. Abbiamo proseguito con dei favolosi rosticini e verdure passate in padella. Infine dei dolci di ottima pasticceria. Abbiamo bevuto del Montepulciano veramente buono. Eravamo in 3: abbiamo pagato un onestissimo 63 euro. Cameriere cortese, veloce e gentile. Padrone di casa altrettanto gentile. Se avrò occasione di tornare a San Gabriele non mancherò sicuramente di tornare in questo ristorante
