Things to do in Island of Vis
We wanted to add a review because this was the best pizza we had during our vacation in Croatia.
Charly is located in the very heart of Komiza. It is very good for a quick snack. I tried pizza and it was very good. Salad was kind of a disappointment, since I expected home grown vegies in a place like Vis. While sitting there you can feel the atmosphere in the town. In general customer service was poor in Komiza, but Charly was a real surprise. Very friendly staff. Quick service (though we came at 7 when it was not very busy). Good value for money.

The pizza there is hideous. We have ordered a prosciutto pizza to go, so I dont know about the table service. But, the pizza cost 70kn, which is 10 euros, and it was small, like not bigger than a small plate, it had 4 slices of some awful, disgusting ham, and it wasnt even baked in an oven. We came back with the pizza and demanded to see the owner since we're locals and we dont accept this kind of service. At 9 pm we were told he was unavailable, and then afterwards we were told he was sleeping. Stay away from this place, there are much better restaurants on Vis, places who actually care about their customers.
Located just over the city beach. Nice view onto the water. Pleasant open area with shades on a veranda space. Came in after a swim. The chairs are plastic with cushions that are used worldwide beachside to accomodate the clientele that comes in from the water. I sat down and within about 5-7 mins after starting my beer rudely startled by a waiter who claimed that I was practically destroying their âcushionsâ. I sat on the plastic chair and finished up the beer. No issue but his attitude completely threw the ambience into the water!

I love a cheese and ham toasty ... Iâve had a lot itâs my go to meal if Iâm unsure what to have at lunch or just want a snack. It was the best Iâve ever had. The bread phenomenal. The cheese delicious and ham perfect. My partner had a salad which looked equally delicious. Lovely views over the bay
New opened restaurant with long tradition. Come and try our steak and pizza.
We eat the best tuna pasteta, fish, scampi, T bone and some Dalmacian white wine. Tnx for great dinner

The restaurant is off the main street and is partially covered which is what we were looking for as the temperature had dropped! The waitress was quite welcoming but she was clearly rushed off her feet so was a little short with us. The house wine was very cheap and was fine. The tomato soup starter was lovely, friends had octupus and tuna salad which they enjoyed. We shared two pizzas for mains and they were full of toppings - not the best pizza we've had but it was a good meal.

This place came as a recommendation from a local ..... cosy decor the food is all cooked in an open fire. We started with the anchovy pate where they provided home made bread straight from the oven. I then had the pizza (freshly made) and my husband the streak. It was a throughly enjoyable meal with wine - costing roughly £50. The staff were friendly I could not fault this place.

Nice restaurant with good selection of seating area, nice friendly waiters and a good selection of food choices. My husband had the burger with fries which was very nice indeed, loved the chips, nice ice cold beer, ordered some bread which was nice and fresh and I had the Lasagne, it was nice a cheesy but hardly any tomato sauce consistency which is what I am used to, but we are all different, but it was nice enough, very reasonable prices

We couldnât fault this place. There are a number of eateries along the harbor - too many to choose from. But we selected Charlyâs from other recommendations and werenât disappointed. One meat lasagna and one vegetarian - hearty hot tasty individual portions. Vegetarian particularly enjoyed ! Lots of pizza / pasta dishes to choose from. Waiters were friendly and fun. Inside and outside seating on traditional wooden benches. Local wines. Great coffee! Fab views / atmosphere. We didnât have to book as end of season though imagine very busy in height of season.
