Iquique (Spanish pronunciation: [iˈkike]) is a port city and commune in northern Chile, capital of both the Iquique Province and Tarapacá Region. It lies on the Pacific coast, west of the Pampa del Tamarugal which is part of Atacama Desert. It had a population of 180,601 according to the 2012 census. It is also the main commune of the Greater Iquique. The city developed during the heyday of the saltpetre mining in Atacama Desert in the 19th century. Originally a Peruvian city with a large Chilean population, it was ceded to Chile as result of War of the Pacific (1879–1883). Today it is one of only two free ports of Chile.

If you're looking for a top-notch meal made with quality ingredients and for a great price, this is the place to go. Benteveo has quickly become a favorite of mine because of their unique menu which is delicious and prepared quickly. They have tea, coffee, and natural juices. They make their own tortillas and bread, which don't disappoint. Aside from the awesome food the house itself is beautiful! The space is so warm and nice and totally different from anything else in Iquique. The owners are incredible people that will make you feel like you're talking to old friends. Thanks to the environment, prices, and delicious food I'll keep going back to Benteveo.

Muy buenas pizzas, con una gran variedad de sabores para todos los gustos. El restaurante funciona en la tarde y todas las masas son hechas por el dueño âDon Miguelâ el cual trabajó mucho tiempo en Italia y tiene mucha experiencia. Realmente recomiendo si pasan por Iquique y disfrutan de las buenas pizzas, pasen por este lugar no se arrepentirán y si pueden prueben las cenas que Don Miguel hace, generalmente tiene ravioles los cuales al igual que las pizzas son exquisitos

Ravioli Nero was exquisite. Pizza la Traviata good. Service great, waitress was friendly. Fabulous draft beer selection. Would go back but so many great restaurants and so little time.

The place is cute, the food really good and nicely served, but the service is just SO DISAPPOINTING.We ended up with a bill double the value, charged for a dish that wasn't even available and the other one with the incorrect price (doubled).The food came at different times, and when one dish appeared to be wrong, instead of apologizing and changing the waiter claimed we are blind and this is exactly what we wanted... just to bring the right one, looking all different, a moment later when it didn't work.At the end, we waited almost 1h for the dessert and the bill. Oh well, a bit too much.

Very good pizza! I ordered the San Jose especial pizza medium. It's enough for 1 person. There was one hard working young guy and very friendly. I enjoyed that restaurant. Good vibes friendly people.
