Discover Restaurants offering the best Pizza food in Hatteras Island, North Carolina, United States. Hatteras Island is a barrier island off the coast of North Carolina, on the Atlantic Ocean. Famed for its lighthouse and long sandy beaches, it is a great family friendly place for a relaxing holiday. Many people visiting Hatteras Island will be looking for a beach holiday, and the long sandy beaches looking out over the Atlantic Ocean are well worth exploring - even at the height of summer or the 4th of July weekend you can usually find a good stretch of beach all to yourselves. Canadian Hole, between the towns of Buxton and Avon, is a particularly good spot. In addition to the beach itself, the waters of Pamlico Sound are perfect for wading, and tourists flock there as the conditions are perfect for windsurfing and kite boarding. In terms of sightseeing there is also the lighthouse, which was moved inland in 1999 to protect it from coastal erosion, and the 825 acre Buxton Coastal Reserve, an area of maritime woodland full of spectacular wildlife (there have even been sightings of bald eagles) and plenty of hiking trails for those members of the family looking for a bit more exercise.

Family Owned - Restaurant with homemade dough and sauces...made from family recipes passed down for generations, Pizza, Subs and Sandwiches and Dinners
With all of the delicious food and amazing restaurants on Hattaras Island, there is absolutely no reason to waste your time or money at Giovanni's. We had the veggie pizza and cheddar hot poppers. The pizza crust was a bland chunk of bread; its perfectly symmetrical shape lacking any irregularity betrayed its likely origin as a prepared item pulled from the freezer. I cannot comment on the quality of the sauce as there was so little of it that there was not detectable flavor. The cheese, while characteristically stretchy, was the blandest mozzarella known to humankind. Basically, grab any 3 for $10 frozen pizza out of the supermarket freezer and you will have the same dining experience as eating a Giovanni's Pizza. The hot poppers were fine, just unremarkable and also clearly pulled out of a bag in the freezer and dropped in the deep fryer. Skip this place and go to literally any other restaurant on the island.

Our favorite pizza place--Lisa's Pizza--was packed so we decided to give this place a chance. What a mistake. The waitress was so, so rude with zero people skills. She rushed us to order and looked appalled when we didn't know what we wanted right away. We were the only customers and asked her to turn down the blaring music--she acted like we'd asked her to rearrange the entire restaurant. In top of that the pizza was bland and there was no free water--we had to pay for water bottles. Never, ever going back there again.

Staying in Buxton, picked this place at random because they had outdoor seating. Left very happy.I was inside briefly. Seemed like a basic, upscale shore âyee hawâ bar. Pool tables (I think I saw darts, but I honestly donât recall). I was greeted quickly with a smile by the bartender, asking if we could sit outside. She handed me drink menus and sent me out. We were greeted by our waiter within 1 minute. He was VERY friendly and made good suggestions. I was particularly interested in a shot of tequila (celebrating a clean bill of health on a cancer scare!) And he recommended the house tequila. Donât remember the name but it was fantastic. My wife and I had a beer (cold, always good at the shore). My daughters shared an order of nachos. My wife had some sort of flat bread, a half pizza/half tortilla thing with cheese and veggies (I believe it was called a Hatteras Flat). I didnât try it, but my wife and the girls shared both dishes and seemed happy. I personally had a half pound of hot-BBQ wings and a steak taco. The wings: Good, very good even. I come from the land of chicken wings in Central PA so my pallet expects a lot. The wings were a little small, but cooked well and the sauce was excellent. I wouldnât drive out of my way to get them, but if I was in Buxon Iâd order them again. The steak taco was off-the-charts good, made me wish Iâd bagged the wings and had a trio of tacos. This is homemade stuff, something I didnât expect from a bar.The whole bill (and we left full) was about $70 with tip, a great price for an excellent meal in a place where the cost of acquiring materials must be nuts. We loved it, and would go back in a minute.

Gary, our server, was friendly and laid back. The portions here are enormous and the prices very reasonable, making dining here a great value. The food is good - maybe not great, but good - and the air conditioning is cool.I would return again to load up and enjoy a decent meal at a great price.

We have stopped at Nino's numerous times on our vacations and never disappointed with the quality of the food. The calzones are probably the best ever in my opinion. The menu offers a variety of items for everyone to choose from. Always a great place to stop and get dinner on the first night of vacation.

Awesome pizza and prepared in under 15 minutes! I was impressed! The crust is hand tossed but yet they got it crisp which I prefer. The supreme had everything you could want. They do only have small or large. I shouldâve gotten a small but it fed us two times so it was all good.

Our first night in Avon for this trip. With two little granddaughters, eating out just doesnât sound that great. So, pizza to go it is. Pepperoni and Mushroom, Ham and Pineapple (Maui something), and cauliflower crust with bacon and spinach- all three with great reviews. Love to eat in sometime soon, but not this trip.
