We are a family-owned, Baltimore-bred, award-winning restaurant and bar for people who love food, drink, music, art and community. Our menu features signature dishes like coal-fired, thin-crust sourdough pizza and multiple varieties of risotto. We also ha
This spot is surprisingly excellent. In the middle of the North Avenue Arts district, the food and service exceeded expectations. The waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. The potato skins with crispy, real bacon and the squares of fried mozzarella were excellent. We split two pizzas, Coalhouse and chees, both light and flavorful on a thin, crispy crust. After dinner treat yourself to a show or a drink at the Motor House right across the street, a film at The Parkway Theater, something fun at the Windup Space, Improv at the B.I.G. (free admission til the end of 2018), just to name a few options. Great location.

I was in town visiting my parents who live locally. We all wanted pizza and they said there wasnât any great pizza around. So I got online and found this place. Holy smokes!!! Fantastic pizza, huge selection, amazing salads. AND the staff was impressive. My order was ready when I walked in and while I was being rung up, another staffer was double checking the order to ensure it was right (large order). That impressed me. Whole Family was happy from kids to grandparents.

U have been here many times and was again recently. The pizza is rather bland and unremarkable, filling but that;s about it. The ambiance is noisy and chaotic.

I'm absolutely in love with this place! My boyfriend and I stopped by for an early dinner. The restaurant is small, but so charming and warm. The corner in which we were seated, had what i believe were local artists pieces on the walls. I loved that, it gives you a sense of community. The service was great, we were greeted immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food itself was delicious! 10/10 recommend the garlic bread. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time here, and will absolutely be back!

Small restaurant with seven tables and counter but good food and service. We enjoyed some appetizers and wine then shared pizza. Food was a sty, hot and the service was good. Topped off the meal with a Nutella cream puff. Casual place for a evening meal. Would be happy to return.

Birroteca is the destination for modern, rustic Italian cuisine crafted using ingredients sourced from local ranchers, farmers and seafood vendors. Guests enjoy communal dining service in a refined, casual setting. There are more than 24 craft beers on ta
We took our 11 and 13 year old grandsons to Birroteca last night. Though there's a kid's menu, I'm not convinced that this is the place for younger guys. However, that being said, the food was great. We had meatballs and calamari as appetizers--and yes, the older grandson ate them too and loved them. We had two pizzas--cheese with a pepperoni substitute and the spiced fennel. They were great. They were incredibly busy for a weeknight, but I guess the holiday season brings folks in.It was noisy and crowded. We had to 'bump' some diners getting to and from our table. But the experience was enjoyable. I asked the waitress to bring me a glass of 'not to acidic' red wine. She made a great choice. We'll be back. There were some parking spaces for handicapped parking and a door with ramp access. However, our table was not in that part of the restaurant and we had to walk down a few steps. If a person were wheelchair bound, this could be difficult and embarassing. Thanks so much for taking the time to give us some feedback. We appreciate you coming to check us out. Your shout out to the food and service was most appreciated. If you are bringing handicapped friends or family next time, there is an access ramp at both entrances so you may avoid any steps. I have shared you comments with the Chef & the staff as well. We hope to see you back soon. Cheers!Joshua LewisGeneral ManagerBirroteca Baltimore
Where to eat American food in Gwynn Oak: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Really great overstuffed cheesesteak subs. I like it best with shrimp. Only two tables. Just take it with you.

This was a great find in a locale rich with fast food restaurants. The food was good, but was disappointed that it is not full service.
Shahi Grill is a halal restaurant located in a shopping mall near Security Blvd in Baltimore area neither my late model GPS nor Google maps app could easily pinpoint. We were there to attend a graduation party attended by over 150 people. The restaurant provided dedicated buffet to the guests. However, it was apparent that the food trays were not replenished as quickly as we formed a line. We had to eat whatever we got our hands on. As a reviewer noted earlier, certain items were oily indeed. Spice was also mixed in the curry items quite liberally. All in all, most items tasted good to my palette. It was a large party hall but the ambience was subpar. I give it a four star based on the taste of food alone, and look the other way when it comes to the restaurant location and ambience. I have no idea what it costs to have a lunch or dinner there. By the way, there are few other restaurants in the vicinity serving similar food, need to try them someday.
