Discover Restaurants offering the best Pizza food in Giverny, France. Thank Claude Monet for making this small village, located less than 50 miles northwest of Paris, a global landmark. Not only did the world-famous Impressionist painter live here for over four decades, but his Japanese-inspired garden (and the artist’s restored 19th century home) remain must-see attractions for visitors to France. Art lovers also will want to check out the Musée des Impressionnismes, which houses—as you’d expect—a collection of paintings and special exhibitions highlighting the Impressionist movement. Great for day trippers visiting from Paris, Giverny also offers bed-and-breakfast lodging for those travelers who want to spend the night.

I stayed at Giverny one day to visit the Monet Foundation and at night I searched for a bank ATM. Apparently they are available only in the next village, Gasny. Thence I searched for a place to dine and I could find only 2 kind of very simple pizzeria. I choose this one even if the price for one pizza (12,50 or 13,50 euro) are quite more expensive than in Italy. But the 4 cheese pizza was quite good so I was satisfied.
...direi comunque unâottima pizza per essere allâestero: pizza alta, croccante, con mozzarella....insomma, BUONA! Proprietari gentilissimi e disponibili!

Read reviews about this restaurant and was not disappointed. The place looked empty but that is because everyone was seated in the terrace at the back of the restaurant. We had a lovely basic meal (pizza and salad) where everything was fresh. The salad was their basic salad and was superb. The pizza we chose had chicken, potatoes and peppers. We switched out the peppers for mushrooms without a problem. We commented to each other how the toppings actually looked like the food they were supposed to be! The chicken was roasted and placed in torn strips for example and not your usual diced chicken. The pitchet of cider went very well with the meal of course. We would return to this restaurant

Our family stopped here during a visit to Monet's gardens and enjoyed a delightful meal. The pizza quatre fromages was the favourite with generous amounts of contrasting cheese for a very interesting pizza. The crust was Naples-style, thin, with no hint of a crust, and cooked to perfection. Service was especially friendly and the outdoor seating area was nicely shaded from the sun.
