Brimming with historical attractions, boutique shops, antebellum mansions, restaurants, art galleries and antique shops, historic Georgetown offers a delightful escape from daily modern life. The oak-lined avenues of Georgetown, dubbed “little Charleston”, are alive with history and small town commerce. If you’ve ever wanted to see antebellum mansions, Georgetown is the place for you. There are an amazing 50-plus antebellum mansions in the area. One of the best ways to see Georgetown is by boat. Take a tour in and around Winyah Bay and the surrounding rivers and you’ll pass plantation mansions and long-abandoned rice fields. Two of the most visited plantations are Hopsewee Plantation and the Hampton Plantation State Historic Site. High on your list of local don’t miss attractions should be the Kaminski House Museum, the stately former home of a Confederate sea captain, and The Rice Museum, which details the history of this important crop through dioramas, maps, artifacts and other exhibits. Other popular activities in the Georgetown area include golf, sailing charters, eco-tours, shell collecting, deep-sea fishing and beach activities at nearby beaches. If you want to tee up, try Wedgefield Plantation Golf Club and Heritage Club, which are less than 10 minutes from Georgetown. Once you’ve geared down and de-stressed in slower paced Georgetown, you’ll have easy access to two dynamic destinations, Myrtle Beach, 36 miles away, and Charleston, 60 miles away. Myrtle Beach, known as America’s Great Golf Vacation Destination, offers more than 100 golf courses, 1,600 restaurants, shopping complexes, amusement parks and live entertainment theaters. Charleston, which is loaded with museums, Civil War sites and plantation homes and gardens, also has superb golf offerings highlighted by the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Resort.

The pizza at this location is ok. Sometime good, sometimes not so great. The customer service has never been their strong point of all the times I've gone. They aren't overtly rude, just not particularly friendly. Been to other Little Ceasars locations where it was more welcoming.

The pizza is surprisingly good and can be bought by the slice. However, the service is not so good. When there was confusion about the price for extra toppings the error was blamed on a "brand new" server instead of admitting the menu was incorrect. The manager finally adjusted the price down because she admitted it was not correct on the "newly printed" menu. It was 7 PM with just a few people dining although many cam in for take-out.

Went here for lunch and not sure what is so famous about it? Infamous is more like it. I ordered and paid. Then I asked for my drink but was told to sit down and someone would bring it to me. After four minutes a waitress came by and asked what I ordered. Obviously ridiculous. She was in no hurry as she started bussin tables and checked on others. I had to wait more than five minutes to receive my drink. Ridiculous for a coke in a styrofoam cup. Then the pizza came out. First impression was it looked like a Digiorno. Tasted like one too. Definitely will not go back.

Friends took us to this quaint restaurant and what a surprise it was. From the outside you would never expect an experience that we had. A humble looking building to say the least, but the food was excellent, as was the service. I has veal parm and my wife had eggplant parm. The veal was terrific, I opted for veggies instead of pasta, and the spinach was prepared just right, with olive oil and garlic. My wife said it was the best eggplant parm she had ever had - the eggplant was sliced paper thin and was scrumptious. This restaurant will easily become our go-to Italian dining spot in Georgetown. Remember to call for reservations, as the dining room is small.
