The Mr and I arrived in Gengenbach shattered from jet lag and the extreme heat the area was experiencing. After a 2 hour nap we awoke refreshed and hungry. We went for a wander and in search of food. We happened upon Rialto Pizzeria. Despite a menu in German (which we could not read) we had an excellent meal thanks to the patient help of Charlotte our server. We started with a carafe of house red wine and a very refreshing salad. After that we shared a salami and mushroom pizza and finished rage meal with a delicious tiramisu. It was the kind of dessert your grandmother would make for Sunday dinner. In summary:Delicious foodFriendly serviceCute and romantic setting Reasonable prices#Winner

Had lovely, well priced gelato as a takeaway on Thursday evening so went back for milkshakes on Saturday but made the mistake of sitting in. Over priced ice cream sundaes, tasteless milkshakes and terrible service! Definitely one for take away only!?
