Gammarth (Tunisian Arabic: ڨمرت gāmmart) is a town on the Mediterranean Sea in the Tunis Governorate of Tunisia, located some 15 to 20 kilometres north of Tunis, adjacent to La Marsa. It is an upmarket seaside resort, known for its expensive hotels and shops. Gammarth began as a small fishing village but following independence from France it blossomed into a resort from the 1950s. Tourism now provides the backbone to the local economy. Gammarth has many five-star hotels and restaurants and also contains many lavish white villas and coves in the vicinity. C'était le 15 septembre en famille.Points positifs:- Emplacement : au coeur de la Marsa plage.- Local climatisé, propre.- Choix : Pâtes, Pizza (au morceau ou à la pièce),...- Pizza : Très bien cuite, succulente Points négatifs :- Trop bruyant (écoliers & lycéens).- Lasagne : Sauce tomate acidulée.

This tiny restaurant right next to the parking lot is typically packed with young people and families, taking their time over pizza of all kinds, featuring in particular fish intermixed with meats and olives and what nots. You wouldn't find these combinations anywhere but in Tunisia. The staff has a great time chatting it up with the patrons, and the entire place has a happy vibe to it.

This place is quite a trendy one, their drinks and food menu are very good, i tried their pizzas and they are quite tasty.The music is super and the DJ knows what to play and how to force the crowd to ,,,, move it :)the downside is the service which is very slow, and the toilettes which are not really clean.All in all not bad, but could be better.

If you're craving a pizza that is well baked with top ingredients then there is only one address - Basile. Their pizzas are rectangular in shape and either classical or specialty in nature. Their La Tomate is delicious even though the dried rosemary sprigs can be a bit annoying, and from their specialty pizzas the Reblochon is great. Their potato and minced meat pizza is good, although i did not like the texture of the potatoes - they were a bit gooey. The service is prompt and professional.

Ce restaurant n'est pas à la hauteur de ses prétentions. La déco est sympa, mais la cuisine y est moyenne et nous doutons de la fraîcheur des produits servis. Je ne recommande pas.

After trying twice I am sure they need more Italian products to make the food more Italian. Unfortunately Tunisia does not allow good Italian imports and this makes it very difficult to make high quality food. The dishes taste very effected by Tunisia just like when you eat Italian in America and it has been changed too. There is good parking although its shared by many other businesses. The ambiance is nice and you will have a relaxed atmosphere. The restrooms are almost nice but have also dropped to local standards in terms of broken, poorly lit, and obviously doused with detergent but not mopped clean.
