Emmanuel with VIP Shuttle told us about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. A quaint little place with great service, really really good food, large portions and reasonable prices. A nice variety on the menu with normal Italian fare along with some unique dishes too. I had the Tortellini Michelangelo with a "pink sauce," it was amazing! My friend had the Spaghetti Mamma Mia and it too was delicious.

New York style pizza, giant pizza slices, calzones, pastas, salads, soups, piadina flatbread sandwiches, fresh pastas, gluten free pasta, gluten free pizza, beer, wine, desserts, kids menu, New York cheesecake. At Russo's New York Pizzeria, we're inspired
We enjoyed our pizza from Russo's last night. Staying in the desolate Scottish Inn we were pleased that a delivery service with decent food was available.

Very busy - Mostly takeout pizza. Limited menu but the best spaghetti & meatballs my husband ever has eaten & took 1/2 home. I ordered the lasagna & the biggest piece of lasagna I've ever received in an Italian restaurant. For cheese lovers my piece was covered with melted mozzarella cheese & running off the sides. Made with their famous meat sauce that covered my husbands spaghetti & meatballs. I also took 1/2 home. Returning 10/19 & will be ordering the pizza. Eating tonight at Mario's Seawall Blvd. our last night here on this trip.Patricia & Andy

I have eaten here on my last three trips to Galveston. Was very disappointed this time. We arrived about 8 p.m. and there were not very many customers. We were greeted promptly and then it went downhill. It took 1 1/2 hours to get our food (we were a party of 6). During that time our drinks ran out and were not refilled. One of us ordered fettucine alfredo with ham and the ham was left off. Once food was served, the waiter never came back to check on us until we were finished eating. I will not be going back.

Located inside the San Luis Resort Galveston, Grotto offers an Old Country trattoria ambiance & classic Italian cooking with recipes made on premises. Creations include many "Old World" signature dishes such as Neapolitan thin crust pizzas, Veal Kickerill
Located in the Lobby of the San Luis Resort on Seawall Blvd, Grotto is a very nice upscale Italian choice. The varied menu includes antipasti, seafood pasta choices, pizza, traditional Italian meat dishes and excellent seafood items. We had the Antipasti plate (it's big enough for 3 or 4 to share) ciopani seafood soup and the flattened shrimp with crab meat, all were delicious. We will definitely return on our next trip to Galveston.
