Frisco is a small unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) on the barrier island of Hatteras Island, between the villages of Buxton and Hatteras. It is located in Dare County, North Carolina, United States, and was previously named "Trent", or "Trent Woods", but received a new name with the coming of the post office in 1898. Most of the land is taken by houses available for rental during the summer months, and as such the community's population varies seasonally. As of the 2010 census, the permanent population of the community was 200. North Carolina Highway 12 serves as the primary road in Frisco and connects the community to others on the island.

Staying in Buxton, picked this place at random because they had outdoor seating. Left very happy.I was inside briefly. Seemed like a basic, upscale shore âyee hawâ bar. Pool tables (I think I saw darts, but I honestly donât recall). I was greeted quickly with a smile by the bartender, asking if we could sit outside. She handed me drink menus and sent me out. We were greeted by our waiter within 1 minute. He was VERY friendly and made good suggestions. I was particularly interested in a shot of tequila (celebrating a clean bill of health on a cancer scare!) And he recommended the house tequila. Donât remember the name but it was fantastic. My wife and I had a beer (cold, always good at the shore). My daughters shared an order of nachos. My wife had some sort of flat bread, a half pizza/half tortilla thing with cheese and veggies (I believe it was called a Hatteras Flat). I didnât try it, but my wife and the girls shared both dishes and seemed happy. I personally had a half pound of hot-BBQ wings and a steak taco. The wings: Good, very good even. I come from the land of chicken wings in Central PA so my pallet expects a lot. The wings were a little small, but cooked well and the sauce was excellent. I wouldnât drive out of my way to get them, but if I was in Buxon Iâd order them again. The steak taco was off-the-charts good, made me wish Iâd bagged the wings and had a trio of tacos. This is homemade stuff, something I didnât expect from a bar.The whole bill (and we left full) was about $70 with tip, a great price for an excellent meal in a place where the cost of acquiring materials must be nuts. We loved it, and would go back in a minute.

Gary, our server, was friendly and laid back. The portions here are enormous and the prices very reasonable, making dining here a great value. The food is good - maybe not great, but good - and the air conditioning is cool.I would return again to load up and enjoy a decent meal at a great price.

Awesome pizza and prepared in under 15 minutes! I was impressed! The crust is hand tossed but yet they got it crisp which I prefer. The supreme had everything you could want. They do only have small or large. I shouldâve gotten a small but it fed us two times so it was all good.
