Our daughter was visiting from Colorado and requested a good Italian meal.... we immediately thought of Prince Umberto. We had been here previously and enjoyed the food. We were a group of 7- our server MaryJo was very competent and took good care of us. We had a variety of Italian dishes starting with calamari, stuffed mushrooms and antipasto salad. I had an escarole and white bean soup. With these appetizers, we were almost too full for our meals.... but we managed- lol. Pasta puttanesca, Chicken Scarapaiello, Penne a la vodka with shrimp- just 3 of the entrees we had- I had getting hungry writing this review!!! The wine was good and there was even some room left for cannoli! Wine also good. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to dining here again. There is a pizza section and the more formal dining room where we ate.

While this is a pizzeria, the food is a cut above "pizzeria" in my book. Our party enjoyed: 1. chicken platter (grilled) which had a beautiful side salad as an option; both side salad and the platter were colorful, 2. oreganate penne, 3. baked lasagna, 4. grilled chicken hero and 5. grilled chicken parm hero as well as 6. side of broccoli (must love garlic or push it to the side). People we were with said this is one of their go-to places and the newcomers can see why. As another reviewer noted, the portions are large. Recommend.

It seems every time I visit or call Martino's, the prices go up and you get an attitude. Their pizza is different: Thick, heavy but very tasty. Their Antipasta de la Casa for 2 is good but inconsistent and the price has now gone up, but it is now $16.95. It says artichoke hearts and recent order there were none. I called the owner and hardly an apology. "No, no, no - we don't make those mistakes." I told him you did and if you can't at least apologize I simply won't order from you anymore. He said "the next time you call I'll make it up to you" and passed the phone to a counter person. In person, I asked about garlic knots that just came out. Menu says $2.50 and I was told $3.50 for 6. I told the guy quite frankly: "Your prices are very high." He gave me an attitude saying: Not a $0.25 above anyone else in the area." Nonsense. He made a mistake as the menu says $2.50. That is still $0.75 more than Prince Umberto's. They had these flat Stromboli like sides that were similar to a chicken roll but flat. Not very big. $6.95. I got one slice and won't be back. No appreciation for customers.

My family loved this place. The veal dishes, fresh seafood, even the veggies were great! We always get fried zucchini, fried calamari, seafood salad and either a veal, chicken or fish dish. All have been outstanding. Even their desserts like tortoni, tiramisu, are terrific. This is an outstanding casual place for families to enjoy...try it!

Went with a friend visiting from Rome for lunch. We had arancine (rice balls) for appetizer....as delicious as those I had eaten in Italy.....and a Margherita pizza. which was absolutely fabulous....together with a delicious glass of chianti. I recommend Carmella's whenever you are in the area.***The pizzeria is on one side....a lovely restaurant, which opens later in the day, on the other

Read about this pizza joint in Newsday and am thrilled we gave it a try -- and we will be back. We ordered the Crudo and Bosco pizzas and both were delicious. Next time we will order the small rather than large, in order to have smaller, crisper pieces. On Friday night the dozen tables were full and turning over fairly quickly.

There's nothing special about this place....just an average "red-sauce" Italian restaurant. The food is good but not memorable, the decor is typical "Mediterranean"....th service was very attentive...the manager/owner was extremely ;personable...the prices were fair and reasonable, the wine list extensive.

We live in Las Vegas and it is hard to find New York style Italian food so when we visit we have Italian. We order things we can't get in Vegas like Baked claims which were delicious. The bread was fresh and wonderful. My husband and I both had veal francese and it did not disappoint. The only downside to this place was that it was SOOOO NOISY
