Things to do in Dunellen
Instead of the defrosted burgers, and after having hot dogs for lunch, we were all craving some pizza for dinner. Several local places we frequently get pizza from were closed and I remembered this location and it was actually open. My wife had some chicken tenders, my son had extra cheese pizza and I had meatball pizza. Even though I have had better pizza, I was pleasantly surprised and glad to try a different place locally. Not sure if I would return there or not, definitely if I end up craving it.

Neighborhood New American Eatery with locations in Bridgewater, Gillette and now Flemington (September 2018) is central New Jerseyâs favorite family restaurant group, having served millions of loyal guests since 1863. Offering quality meals and beverages
Thank you Chimney Rock Inn for having many vegan options. It always amazes me that some restaurants can successfully manage to have several vegan options, but most can't even offer one! Although I grew up in Bridgewater this was my first visit, but it won't be the last. I ordered a bowl of veg chili and the strawberry quinoa salad. Both were delicious. The chili portion could have been a little bigger, while the chip portion surrounding the bowl could have been smaller. Red sangria was just ok, next time I'll stick to wine.Husband had the salmon which came with a salad. Apple brown betty a la mode for dessert. The food was good, not outstanding, but the choices for a vegan diner coming with a non-vegan diner was the high point for us. And nice to dine outside too.
We were on our way back from NJPAC and decided to stop for pizza as it's our grandson's favorite. We had prior experience with Pizza Brothers of Raritan, so when we saw Pizza Brothers in Green Brook, we pulled in. We ordered 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni pizza. My plan was to eat no more than 2 pieces. Guess what? It tasted so good I ate 3 slices of pepperoni pizza and one slice of plain cheese. Excellent thin crust, excellent sauce, great cheese and pepperoni. Highly recommended! And the price was less than I expected. Go there. You'll enjoy your meal!!

Good example of NJ pizza place with a little extra. Walked in with a group of six on a rainy Monday for lunch. They were most accommodating even though we just ordered a hodgepodge of slices and salads.

We decided to try this place and it was actually quite good. Part bar part restaurant, the place is nothing special but the service was quite friendly and good. Eggplant rollatini appetizer was generous and tasty if covered with a bit too much cheese. Rigatoni with broccoli rabe and sausage in garlic oil was delicious. Minestrone soup was watery and disappointing. Would come back to try the pizza next time.

Location/ease of access: Great! Giuseppe's is located on the corner of N Washington Ave. @ Green Brook Road, just 1 block from the intersection of Route 22 and Washington Ave. It has parking for about 10 cars in the rear.Food: The pizza is great. The crust is crispy and thick enough that it doesn't "wimp over" as I call it... you can pick up the slice without it drooping down. The cheese/sauce ratio is good. Also the cheesesteaks and fries are great. The cheesesteak meat is slightly less in quantity than some other places, but I wouldn't call it a problem. I haven't had a full dinner meal yet.Environment: This is a 'no frills' pizza joint. It is clean and neat but quite small. Mostly a take-out / delivery place. There are about 6 small tables with chairs and a TV, but its not a 'restaurant' environment. There is not a lot of separation between the pizza ovens and the customer area, so the place can be quite warm on a hot day.Menu/Pricing: This has a full typical pizzeria/Italian menu, what you would expect from a NJ pizza joint. Pricing is fair for the area it is in. Delivery minimum & fee and credit card minimum and fee are clearly posted. They have some nice coupons/specials applicable on certain days.People: Seems like a 'family run' join. Joe "Giuseppe" is the owner and works the counter (at least during lunch when I'm there). One day his youngest kid was there running around and his mom was there to visit with her. Joe is a nice guy to talk to if they aren't too busy and you have a minute.
I have been eating Mr. Assante's pizza most of my life. They make incredible pizza. My favorite is the vodka sauce pizza. It has vodka sauce that includes sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and onions and cheese. A slice of heaven. The pizza is thin crusted and generous with the cheese. I like the Caesar salad too. My dad always gets the Sicilian with the works. The calzones look good too. Great pizza place! Reliable and authentic!

We were going for a group outing to Stumpy's (hatchet throwing) which is next door. So, we gave Capital Craft a chance and thrilled we did. The food was really good. We got a bunch of appetizers (loaded tots, crispy brussels sprouts, wings, and pretzels)....also had chicken sandwich (bummer that they were out of turkey burgers at 6 pm on a Saturday night) and salads. The beer menu was terrific as well...nice to have some options off the beaten path. It's a good place and definitely recommend it. Our server, Brielle, was friendly and attentive as well.

A classic pizza place!!! We were walking back to the car after a few hours at The Break Arcade next door and saw this place. My little guy loves pizza so we stopped in for a slice. I love seeing the old school pizza place and having a little chat with the woman behind the counter finding out that they have been there over 50 years. Thats amazing!!! Any pizza place that has letter boards as menus is good in my book. The modern place can keep their damn flatscreen menus. I did feel a little bad as the place was practically empty on a Saturday afternoon. We sat and ordered 2 slices and a drink, which is a special for $4.50. The pizza was really good...Nothing beats good ole Pizzaria pizza. The prices were very fair about $2 per slice and even 20oz sodas about $1.85. I would recommend this place to everyone. Support the local businesses!!!
