Food here is just fine. Nothing too good but nothing too bad either. Infact the Tibetan food is on the good side. Service is little slow. But the people here are very humble, nice and gentle. Overall an average place.

They claim to be the first restaurant in town offering pizzas. It's located very close to the main Dalai Lama temple. Nice cozy seating & ambience. It's common for diners to customise the pizza toppings & its quantity. So, the restaurant owner hands over a pen & piece of paper to diners to write down their order....quite sensible. The pizza tasted good but it was a bit more oily. The French fries were amazing too.I disliked the fact that there is just one size - large size of pizza, they don't serve small or medium ones. One large pizza is enough for 3 people. It makes more sense that they sell small sized pizzas so that different family members can buy individual pizzas with their choice of toppings.

Went here for dinner on a snowy day and it wasn't crowded at all. Ordered the wood fired pizza's and they were as good as advertised! Completely loved them and they are priced so reasonably! They had a great menu and I would have liked to order a lot of other things, except I didn't have time to come back here! Must go if you like pizza.

Jimmy's Italian kitchen is a family run restaurant serving Italian food since 2001..since it's a family run restaurant we feel elated that our cakes; bread;pasta and pizza sauce are all homemade. We mostly use local products in our kitchen..

By far, Carpe Diem is my favourite place to eat in McLeodganj. Its a multicuisine of sorts (Italian, Chinese, Indian and Tibetan), however, my recommendation would be to try the Italian food here - pizzas in particular. Amongst the several teas they offer, honey lemon ginger tea is the best. There are tables and chairs you can sit on, and there are also comfortable cushions on the floor where you can sit and eat. Its a very laid back place. When in McLeodganj, you cannot give Carpe Diem a skip! :)

Rude unhelpful staff; couldnât be bothered to explain or even give us any condiments as they had already cleared the tables by 8.15pm. We ordered mushroom gnocchi, a ravioli & thupka: thupka was tasteless, gnocchi stodgy & ravioli soggy and totally lacking any flavour. Just not worth eating, couldnât get out of there fast enough! Very disappointed by the whole experience.

This is one of the best restaurants in this small town. Italian dishes are very very good. Desserts are good too. But most of those contained eggs. Nice location overlooking the mounts & dharamkot village. It's run by the Rajasthanis. Recommended.

We went over there to have lunch with friends. The service is slow, the waiter isn't interested in taking orders at all. Because of the good reviews of Lonely Planet we decided to give a chance to the place but it wasn't worth it. Two of my friends got sick after the lunch. My review for the place would be below average.
