We were staying at nearby Holt Hotel for the weekend - doing Blenheim Palace, Burford etc. Always like to venture out of Hotels and saw The Red Lion on Trip Advisor - so glad we did. A lovely local Inn that is obviously favoured by people living nearby, very nice atmosphere in the bar area. Very friendly welcome, and we chose to take up the offer of eating in the separate dining room - it's a lovely "conservatory style" area. Food - a delicious Pizza Margherita & Haddock and chips were both 10/10. (If you have ever had a thin base pizza in Southern Italy then having one here will take you straight back there - authentic Italian and gorgeous.) If my partner could have given the chocolate brownie and ice cream 11/10 she would. This really is a lovely place for an evening meal out, owners and staff should be proud of it. Highly recommend La Foglia after spending the evening their last nightGreat food at a reasonably price Recommend Risotto Fruit de Mer.Starters are great try the Octopuss, if it is on the menu for the day. Fish is excellent as was the Tagliatelle Verde al Carbonar Chicken Rollatuni as chosen by the other members of our family.Staff are excellant friendly & helpful We will diffinatly be returning very soon
