Council Bluffs is a city in and the county seat of Pottawattamie County, Iowa, United States. The city is the most populous in Southwest Iowa, and a principal city in the Omaha–Council Bluffs metropolitan area. It is located on the east bank of the Missouri River, across from Omaha, Nebraska. Council Bluffs was known, until at least 1853, as Kanesville. It was the historic starting point of the Mormon Trail. Kanesville is also the northernmost anchor town of the other emigrant trails, since there was a steam powered boat to ferry their wagons, and cattle, across the Missouri River.

This was definitely my favorite dining experience during a recent visit to Omaha. The restaurant is Amazing and offers authentic Italian cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised to try the Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad. I usually tolerate Brussel Sprouts, but the way they were presented in this salad left me wanting more. The Margherita Pizza was the best I have ever tasted and the Pasta was sooo good. This restaurant is a gem and is located right next to the Bluebird Theatre. Be sure to check this restaurant out during your next visit to Omaha!

A coworker and I went here for lunch in May. The buffet is very small and limited compared to other locations. The service was good, they brought out the pizza to our table that we requested and picked up plates quickly. Layout inside of restaurant was kind of weird too.

called at 8:36 and would not take order. no explanation or apology. hour are till 9:00 do not understand. i work in food service and if a customer comes in t 8:55 we take their order.

Had lunch on a day when restaurant was almost empty. We ordered at a counter and took our food to one of the tables in spacious dining room. Menu items include Philly steak served several ways, pizzas, calzones, and pastas. Philly steak standwich and French Fries were good. Service reasonably quick.

My favorite pizza in town. Fast, good service even when busy. I usually take out of town visitors here and they have been please. Several lunch specials. They sell by slice or pie. They also give kids dough to play with while they wait. My favorite is a simple slice of cheese, but I havenât had any type I did not enjoy here. I also recommend the calzones. Not a fan of the wings here though. Very cool location/ vibe inside.

Pizza King as a Council Bluffs classic because their pizza is so wonderful! This is normally a very busy restaurant so I generally order pizza and ravioli to go.

First time in Omaha and went with trip advisor recommendation. There's a reason this place is ranked number one. Friendly service, a bit of history, and excellent pizza. When the owner found out we were first timers, he gave us a loaf of bread that they bake fresh everyday. This is more of a carry out business and the business coming in was constant on a Sat. afternoon. The owner set up a table for us to eat on. Very nice man. Highly recommend.
