We did dine her when the restaurant first opened and enjoyed our meal but this is the first time we've been back since then. We've clearly been missing out!Restaurant was quite busy and the area at the back had a party booking that was 'in good spirits' but not disruptive. Ambience, lighting and music levels were perfect for a thoroughly enjoyable meal.Mussels for starters was a generous sized portion - I had only expected 6-10 but the bowlful was delicious - well recommended. Whilst my friends both went for pasta dishes for their mains I had the swordfish and thoroughly enjoyed it, as did they!3 people, 2 courses each, washed down with 2 bottles of wine for under £90 is pretty good value. Service was good too, so will definitely be back in the not too distant future.

Just a bit dated needs a revamp and happy staff, plus get with the times and accept cards, it's the future you knowThank you your review, in the last couple of years we have changed most of the decor, keeping in tune with the nautical/ traditional pub feel. Have a chat with the staff they are always happy to help and approachable for a sociable chat, being a bank holiday weekend we may have been fairly busy but always there to help. Following previous feedback we have implanted a card system that was running over the weekend, so Iâm assuming you may not be referring to the SailorBoy Pub. We hope to see you here soon

We came here at half term after going to the cinema. It was fairly busy but had very few staff actively serving. Our order was taken quite quickly and the kids helped themselves to drinks from the unlimited soft drink machine. It would be great if children could be given smaller glasses as they are huge and are an accident waiting to happen. Which it inevitably did! A while glass of coke straight across the table!We asked the waitress for a cloth and was given a handful of serviettes. As much as I donât mind cleaning up a spill myself, an offer of a cloth or some assistance would have been great. The pile of soaked serviettes sat on the table until the food arrived. The kids had the childrenâs menu food which comes with a side. The sides still hadnât materialised 10 minutes after their mains had arrived. We had to ask for them after we saw the waitress attending another table. The food was ok, the kids enjoyed it more than we did!The cutlery was dirty and the table was a bit sticky.
