If you're having a walk on the lake Maggiore or visiting Laveno and you like to have a nice tasty pizza I suggest you to go here. The place is warm and the staff is really kind and helpful. Good list of pizzas and very interesting selection of beers. I recommend also to try some dessert which are always homemade following the recipes of italian tradition. Prices are ok!Good for couples (and children) and groups of friends.

This is solid work. Somehow, this small place flies by without too much acclaim. Wood oven turns out terrific pizzas. The pizza is cooked in a real wood-fired brick pizza oven (not gas-fired like most other places in Laveno Mombello!) You could put about anything on the crust that comes out of this oven, and it would be good, but it is clear that the toppings are first-rate too. Haven't had anything I don't like. Their margherita pizza was outstanding. It had the perfect balance of mozzarella and sauce, and even with its thin crust it did not get soggy. Prices are very reasonable. Atmosphere is fine. Service is kind and prompt.

This is a small pizzaria in a small town but it's so good that it's hard to park on Friday night and Saturday because all of the locals come here to get their weekend pizza. The best thing about the pizza is the crust! Until I moved to Italy I never understood how important this element was to the total pizza experience. I was used to thick, spongy, american pizza. This is real Italian style and I would eat it without tomato or cheese. In fact, you can order from an interesting selection of 'white' pizzas. I have three favourites so far, all with tomato sauce as the base: rucola/grana - that's fresh green rocket and a hard cow-milk cheese that's the lombard version of parmesan; Burrata which has a fresh, creamy version of mozzarella on top (or the "bufalina" - if you want your fresh mozzarella in smaller pieces); finally, there's the Emy - a standard cheese pizza with a topping of italian lean smoked bacon (speck) and slices of brie. They're happy to make a 'pizza baby' for kids who want a plain cheese pizza (called "pizza margherita") and you can buy beer and soda or water from the cold case. Please note that this is not an 'eat in' restaurant, there are all of 2 tall tables where a few people can squeeze in and 2 barstools. A couple or a mom and dad with one child might be able to eat in the restaurant, otherwise you're better off taking it home, having it delivered or (on a nice summer day) eating it in the town square that's just a few yards up the hill. Prices are 'normalissime' so 2 adults and one kid can have 3 full-size pizzas and 3 drinks for from 18-35 euro depending on what you order. You can also get fries. If you're a single traveler on a budget you can get a plain cheese pizza (and it's a big one), a 'panzerotto' or calzone for from 5 - 6 euro. And, it's delicious - I often end up feeling bloated after eating pizza but there's something special about the crust - light, crunchy, a tad chewy and very easy to digest. If you love spicy try a pizza with calabrian 'nduja for a bit of bite.Closed on Mondays.
Just tried their pizza for the first time, and I was not disappointed! I ordered a Popeye pizza, which came out to be around 6 Euro. It wasn't too greasy, and tasted really fresh and flavorful.

This place was only serving pizza when we visited, but what a pizza! I'm quite "picky" about my pizzas - there needs to be a thin, crispy base, not too heavy toppings, good quality mozarla - well, this pizzeria ticked all the boxes. Set in a tennis park, and surrounded by a kids playing area, the pizza here ticked all the boxes. OK, the wine was a fizzy white, and the service was raucous, but we really enjoyed ourselves. Only the squadrons of mosquitos spoiled the occassion.

We came here tonight whilst on a 10'day cycle tour of the lakes. It was the best pizza we had during the whole 10 days. A very local restaurant, serving mostly pizzas and a few other dishes. A great place to go if you want to sample village life. Good staff and excellent value for money. The toilets were also very clean.

State alla larga.

La Lampara restaurant is located just on the street direction Cerro. It's a traditional trattoria with a daily menu during lunch time. we really appreciated the authenticity and the flavour of the homemade cooking. We visited the restaurant during lunch where a 12 euros set lunch was offered. We highly recommend it. Fresh, fast and inexpensive. The menu included house-wine, water, first course, main course and coffee. Honest price. The restaurant didn't offer a pizza service during lunch time, we don't know if it was a temporary disservice or an internal policy. The atmosphere was not memorable. Clean environment but lack of soul. Since it has no view and decorated with a lot of pics, we suggest to patronise it as a daily regular meal purpose instead of a special occasion venue. The service was fast and efficient.

Ieri sera siamo andati con la famiglia della mia fidanzata a mangiare una pizza tutti insieme. Io ho preso una diavola con tocchetti di salame tipo speck invece delle classiche fette. Pizza niente male e come dessert una meringata con cioccolato. Servizio molto cordiale e rapido. Consigliato
