Comfortable cafe/bar/bistro with a distictly French feel, serving great coffee from Origin Coffee, Suki Tea, pizza, pannini, crepes, daily specials and an evening Bistro Service with home made specials, Chargrill Steaks and burgers. Child and Dog friendly,
So I visited today to this café my family of six and one infant aged 10 months , After finding the table I went to find my son a heighchair at which weâre all broken and unsafe for a child to eat In, after decided what we wanted to eat I went up to the bar and ordered our food which I was faced with unmannered and rude staff once on ordering the food I then asked for the waitress to read back my order which was correct then when the food was served the order was completely wrong and ask member of staff to correct my order then was told that they were too busy and I had to put up with what I had. Then my son 10 months old nocked a glass of Coke on the floor and All members of staff gave dirty look at us and refused to clean up until the cafe shut two hours later until I reminded them that it was a safety hazard then they clean up in protest !Hi Beth, We are fully aware of the person behind this review. We are also fully aware of your personal differences with a member of staff who works In the bistro of which you have an issue with outside of our workplace. You have visited our bistro on 3 different occasions this week alone.. have sent threatening messages to said member of our staff and are now trying to vindictively persecute her place of work and someone elseâs business over a personal issue. All of the above accusations are completely false of which you know and due to your threatening and frankly odd behaviour we will be permanently banning you from returning to the bistro again.

Great little cafe restaurant in Dawlish town. A bit off the beaten track for the tourists who seem to be a few miles down the road in Dawlish Warren, but great for locals and tourists who want to get the bus, train or just drive to explore the area. The menu is a bit thinned out of late with their once legendary burger menu cut down to just three (beer, chicken and veggie) with a couple of optional toppings. I'm not a massive fan of their latest wine menu either which has been cheapened considerably from some of the fantastic wines they once sold. Get the burgers and wine back on form and you're a solid 5* all day long. PS, they do amazing homemade pizzas tooHello, Thankyou for choosing to dine with us at Jack Sprats, We made the decision to cut down the burger menu as not all of them were popular, we have left the optional toppings as these are the ones that were popular on the old menu. We also tweaked the wine menu as our suppliers stopped selling some of the wines that were on the old wine menu and we could no longer get hold of them, we have also had to keep our prices competitive, We hope to see you again soon ! Best regards,Jack Sprat team

Called in on the off chance of a table with my wife and were fortunate they had a table free until later that eveningThe wine list is comprehensive and reasonably pricedI went for a mid priced white which was very niceThe whole dining experience from start to finish was excellent, as was the service during our visit, the food was well presented, perfect temperature and a delight I had the crab and cray fish linguine which was stunning and full of flavourFirst visit but will certainly not be our last 5 star throughout

Pop in lovley pizza cafe as usual at evening and asked for a table the lady who i seen for the first time there with red short hair come to me and i asked for a table as always she shows the middle table with not any smile even as i look for some corner i asked if there is any chance to get another table and she says NO in a very rude way which's shows how rasism she was, i just turned my way and will never go back while she is working there!Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.I am really sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the service you received on this visit. It is my understanding that on this occasion, the larger tables were reserved. I am very sorry that this wasn't explained to you and that you felt you were treated rudely. This is definitely not how we want to make our customers feel. Please get in touch at [email protected] if you would like to chat about this further.Best wishes,Pizza Cafe Management

A nice country pub with friendly and attentive service. Had the Fly and Dive and the Duck for mains; cannot rate it highly enough. Delighted with both dishes, nicely presented, strong well-balanced flavours. Good wine list - had the Malbec which was as described and for under £20 excellent. It isn't huge and so you need to book and no car park but we found plenty of street parking close by. Will be going back next time we are in Devon and so should you! Thanks for the kind review - it means a lot to us hereKind regardsAdam
High expectations as the Rominos in Minehead is outstanding. The food here was okay, but the prices seemed to be made up on the spot and the price suddenly went from £20 to £30. Probably best to avoid unless desperate.
