I visit often and always enjoy my meal. Last couple of weeks, I have been on an Olivia pasta and pizza kick. I cannot say enough good things about either one so i recommend you come twice to try both. :)

I stumbled on this place when I was looking for a place to take a group of twelve. I called first and the manager was very accomodating and was pleased we were considering his restaurant. Upon arrival, our table was ready and the servers were friendly, efficient, and attentive. The manager stopped by more than once to thank us for coming to the restaurant and when leaving invited us back again. The prices were quite reasonable and the food was good.Thanks for the kind words David. Really glad to hear that you stumbled upon us, and more importantly that everything went well. I'd skipped this place for a long time because, since I've become lactose-intolerant, I really can't eat pizza. When a friend told me they had vegan cheese, I just had to check it out. In addition to the cheese (and large variety of possible toppings), the pizza itself is just really good!

Visiting friends, we went there twice because the first night we had traditional Italian dishes - I loved the lasagna and side house salad, plus the complementary bread! - and learned that another of their specialties is Chicago Deep Dish pizza, so we had to come back and try it. Sure glad we did because it too was delicious; a 16" pizza easily feeds 4 with a couple of pieces to take home. Only miss was the Caesar salad which had a bit too much dressing, though some in our party likes it that way;-)

I love how they offer 3 types of pizza styles...Sicilian (thick crust/square), traditional (round pie) and Mama's (in-between square). They also have nice lunch specials. Our party of 4 all had something different. A chicken penne vodka, a 2 slice/drink option and a slice/salad option. They also have a full bar. Food was very good (especially the crust on the mama's pizza) and the price was right. Will return next time I'm here.

Very unusual that a chain delivers consistently great food at all of its locations. These guys have done it. The staff at the Cary location are always prompt and courteous. The food is good and the place is family friendly (even with my 3 year old). I recommend the Kosmic Karma pizza.Kevin, thank you very much for your kind words and awesome review. I've never had a bad meal, or experience at Johnny's Cary. The pizzas are excellent and my favorite is Johnny's Stromboli. I get it with green olives, instead of black olives, and they are so accommodating of special requests. The staff is so friendly and it feels like home when you are there. A winner in every way!
