Have been travelling to Italy every year since the late 1980's and have eaten here every trip. Why? Quite simply the setting, quality, and price is excellent. So when I read other reviews which state differently don't believe them. The restaurant is across the river from the enchanting medieval village of Dolceacqua so ambiance (A) ; the wood burning pizza oven churns out yummy thin crust pizza (A); the added bonus, price for a couple is so inexpensive compared to France, England, Germany, Canada... (A)I mentioned pizza, their menu does offer pasta, meat and of course a wine only found in this small region called Rossese di Dolceacqua. Can they have off nights? Yes I am sure however take it from someone who has eaten here for 30 years; Go!
We got the 4 formagio and it was really good. Took about 30 mins to get the pizza, and we forgot to ask for it to be cut. Good value.

No need to book as there are plenty of tables at this welcoming restaurant. It is the place to come to for great value traditional thin base pizzas. House wine in carafes is consistently good and the coffee is excellent.

Weird pizza types, far from Italian standards. All 6 pizzas were doughy / soggy instead of crispy. Tasted a lot like bread / cake.No credit card - only cash payments.Sorry if our pizzas did not please you But none of our pizzas are thick pasta and we are in France so it's normal not to resemble the Italian pizzas. Your words are false !!!You totally have the right not to love but to lie is something else, our establishment makes only homemade pasta and hand-fined so ultra fine.Hope to see you again on sospel!

Cosy little restaurant - very inviting. Plenty to choose from on menu everyone at the table happy with their meals. Prices were ok and service was fast. Difficult to order for the children (healthier options) but I find this is many places. Would have been perfect score if children's meal options were a little better.

Located in the centre of Saorge the only thing the restaurant misses out on is the view. Great value and tasty Italian with a very friendly couple running it.
Une pizzeria sympathique avec un patron souriant c'est bien, une petite table propre avec gressin offert en apéro c'est sympa...mais une pizza trop "humide" en son coeur et brulé dessous c'est pas top...Dommage certainement un mauvais jour.
