Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Bordighera. Known as the City of Palms, scenic seaside Bordighera is the proud supplier of fronds to the Vatican every Palm Sunday. Just a few miles from the borders of both Monaco and France, floral Bordighera has been a favorite resort destination for British visitors since the 19th century, when Queen Victoria herself was a guest. The town has many lovely gardens (like Pallanca and Winter), an archaeological museum (the Bicknell) and a lovely old town, but most come for the beach and seafront promenade.

If you want to eat a real Naples-style pizza, come here. The dough is rich, the sauce is made from fresh-ground tomatoes and the olives and basil are local. In all the other "pizzerias" around you will eat a sort of carton with red paint on it. Here everything is real and home-made.The best one (there is not a big choice, however) is the "Vincenzino" pizza, with tomato sauce, garlic, olives and basil. The one with cheese is, in my opinion, a bit heavy.Don't expect a typical atmosphere: here the furinishing is essential and it is basically the same as in the '70s. But if you are more interested in eating a fabulous pizza than in a candle-light romantic dinner, well, this is your place.

Rigorosamente alla carta , prodotti italiani e di prima qualita.
A very simple restaurant in the medevial part of Bordighera. The terrace is convenient but inside, it is very simple. You can eat traditionnal italian food( pasta, pizza). I enjoy "rizzotto frutti di mare" with a glass of white wine "de la casa" but so meat and fish. As often in Italy, dessert are poor and industrial.

After traveling the entire country of Italy, my self and all of my guests have agreed that Pizzeria Sant'Ampelio was where we experienced the best pizza and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. The pasta was delicious. We highly recommend visiting!!! Great choice and wont find this quality of food anywhere else!!!!

Both our visits here were very enjoyable. Great food - both the pasta and the pizza - servings extremely generous, well-cooked and promptly presented. On our first visit we both had pasta first course and then swordfish steaks and were presented with accompanying servings of warm flatbread. Both home-made and shop-bought desserts. The friendly staff were eager to please and a decent bottle of Pinot rounded off two relaxed and pleasant evenings.

We visited for an aperitivo. Service was a bit distracted. We werenât really made to feel welcome even though the bar was quite empty. This was of course in February and it was COLD. It must be a very different place in the summer. Loud music was put on and we had to raise our voices to be heard - other customers too. This must have been obvious to the staff. We drank up and left. Shame - as we thought this bar looked good fun. Maybe itâs for younger people? We were surprised that the music could be heard right the way up Corso Italia which seemed unfair on neighbours and other owners of premises as well as those just wanting a quiet stroll. Bit selfish in my opinion and although we are staying in Bordighera for over 3 weeks we havenât been back.

This pizzeria is just down the street from where I have been living in Bordighera since November 2017. Blue Lagoon is just across the street, and I know my laziness has taken me there when my yearning for pizza needs to be fed. I decided today that it was time for a change. Il Cappero has only a few tables; I always try to beat the crowd when I'm eating alone and I also have American eating habits that regulate the timing of my hunger. I arrived at 7:10 pm and the tables were full within the next 30 minutes. In that time, 5 or 6 people also came in for pizza to go. I ordered a glass of red wine for 3⬠and Pizza Bordighiotta which was topped by tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto crudo, rocket, gorgonzola, and another cheese unfamiliar to me which was shaved on top of everything else. Pizza prices range from 8⬠to 12â¬, and this was at the top of the range. The fresh tomatoes were sweet and delicious and the rocket was fresh and crisp. The pizza crust was light and crispy at the edges, not overly doughy. There is also a decent selection of traditional Italian pasta and seafood dishes, including a regional pasta called Fioche alla Genovese--pasta with potatoes, green beans and pesto. This will be my "go to" place for pizza, and I look forward to trying other menu selections. I highly recommend, but either go early or make a reservation.
