Street grill and friends are the favorite place to grill and chill, located in the heart of the city of Bandung (Cihampelas street), where superbly aged steaks & joints of meat are all grilled in the wood fired Josper oven. The menu includes a selection o
This restaurant is pretty close to our hotel in Bandung and received positive reviews on TripAdvisor, so we thought we'd give it a try. Two of us ordered tenderloin (96,000 IDR) and I ordered the rack of lamb (145,000 IDR). The meals came with fries, sauteed mushrooms, and onion rings. The steaks were good, the mushrooms, fries, and onion rings were fine, but my lamb was at least 75% fat and I left most of it on the plate. When the waiter came to clear away our dishes, he could see the amount of food I did not eat but did not inquire as to the reason.

Cafe Oz is a cafe-restaurant with an Australian-International style menu. We specialise in quality food, of particular note are our savoury pies - beef, chicken and vegetable varieties; steak; favourite International and Asian foods; great coffee & drinks
Having lived in Bandung for almost 5 years, there are some foods I have never found decent options here. Primarily Italian and Mexican food. After a recent stay in Bali, and some really good Italian food at Massimo's, I decided to check some more in Bandung. It's depressing when Pizza Hut and Domino's come up high on the list. Sure, they're edible, but overpriced, and nothing special. I saw that Cafe Oz was ranked nicely, and I had passed by hundreds of times while stuck in traffic. They also had meat pies and Mexican food, some of my other favorites. I decided to go before the evening rush, a little before 5pm. Minimal parking, but it was empty. All the patio seating seemed to be smoking only, but no one else was there, so I sat there. We ordered 3 appetizers, Calamari, Nacho's and Onion Rings. You'd think they'd know what they were out of, but obviously not, as they returned a few minutes later to say they were out of the Calimari. We substituted Spring Rolls. The appetizers came out one by one. The salsa with the nacho's just tasted strange. Either out of a bottle, or prepared days ago. Not tasty at all. The guacamole was ok, the chips a bit soggy. Melted generic cheese. Seemed microwaved to me. 2* rating.Next came the Onion Rings which was one of the better items, although fairly greasy. I'd say a 3.8* rating. The last appetizer were the Chicken Spring Rolls. Two large spring rolls, cut in half, on a bed of crispy noodles. Filled with chicken and veggies, but just not good at all. Not flavorable. I had to use a lot of the sauce to even get them down. Do not order these! 1.2* rating. I had to get a pizza here, and chose the large Supreme. I was going to get Fajitas, but after the Nacho's, decided to get a meat pie instead. They were out of the Black Pepper Beef, so I got the Beef and Mushroom, with fries. The beef pie came first. Pretty good quality. Flakey crust, and flavorful. The fries were average. I'll give the pie a 3.8* and the fries a 3* rating. The pizza came not too much later. No Parmesan or chili flakes offered, but they did have some when asked. The crust bottom wasn't very crispy. A decent amount of toppings, although the thin crust tasted too yeasty. Average 3* rating. Service was rather lackadaisical. Not rude, but you always had to catch their attention, if they weren't busy texting. They never inquired if everything was ok, or if we needed anything else. Pesky flies were the only other guests while we were there. When the bill came, we were surprised that they seem to be charging more than the legal sales tax in Indonesia. It's a small amount, but annoying still the same. The normal method for calculating this is: food items+service charge+10%. Some places list 11% as the tax, as they charge the 10% tax on the service/tip, but service here is 5%, and was subtotaled before the 11% tax was added on. 1 star deducted. Just driving out of the restaurant is an ordeal, as traffic backs up badly here in the late afternoon and evening. Took about 5 minutes to be able to enter the road.
