I've been there in July after a whole day spent driving all around Hungary. I stayed in a near village (Penzesgyor.... not so easy to find a cheap hotel close to Balaton lake at the end of July) and the owner of the hotel told me to go to Marietta because the food was very good. To tell all the truth she suggested me to go to Marietta Etterem to eat a good pizza (I don't know I think why everybody thinks that all the italians can't live without pizza) but when I arrived there I decided to eat something different. Of course my son asked for a pizza with ham (I admit he liked it ). There was a very nice cold soup with tomatos and ricotta (the taste remembered me the spanish gazpacho even if without garlic). I also had a wiener schitzel and it was large and very good. I drank only lemonade (maybe 4/5 lemonade... it was very good). The price was very low, the waiters very friendly and helpful (we arrived at 9pm without any reservation because of traffic jam on the highway to Balaton lake and they found a table for us in 30 seconds). The only problem was that the menu was only in hungarian or german. I can't speak any hungarian at all, I understand just a few words in german after spending so many times in Germany and Austria but thanks God there's Google translate and a lot of dishes were made with italian ingredients so I was able to understand what's in the menu. I think it's a restaurant mainly for hungarian and german people but the team was very nice and helpful. There are some parking lots just outside the restaurant. Well... let me add that it's not so easy to find it because it's not in town center without a GPS navigation software. I think it's not a restaurant for large group because it's very quiet and there're a lot of house all around the restaurant. The prices were very low. we were 5, we have 6/7 lemonades, 1 lt mineral water, 3 wiener schnitzel pizza and so on ... we paid less than 10000 HUF more or less I think 40â¬. Definitly very good quality for price ratios. So if you are in Zirc, well... as an italian person I suggest you to go there even if you are going to have some troubles with language but don't be afraid ... the waiters and the owners will be very friendly and helpful.

I have finally found it. Best pizza in town by far! Iâve literally had physical pain even by looking at all the other places claiming they have good pizzas, but this place nailed it.

We stopped there for lunch while on a motorcycle trip.The restaurant is rather big inside and they have a nice terrace in the shade outside. You don't have to wait long before a staff comes to take your order with a big smile. Service is very friendly and very fast as well. We were there on a week day and the terrace was pretty full but we got our orders swiftly. They have a wide selection of typical Hungarian food and the ones we tried were very very good. Portions are decent and we left with our bellies full.Will definitely return if in the area. Thank you!
