Reviews on Pizza food in Badenweiler, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Badenweiler is a health resort and spa in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, historically in the Markgräflerland. It is 28 kilometers by road and rail from Basel, 10 kilometers from the French border, and 20 kilometers from Mulhouse. The permanent population is about 600; the nearest big city on the German side of the border is Freiburg, about 30 kilometers away. Badenweiler lies at the western edge of the Black Forest. It is sheltered by the Blauen, 1,164 m (3,820 ft), and the climate is excellent. Its parish (Evangelical) church (1897) was built at the foot of an 11th-century castle which belonged to the margraves of Baden and was destroyed by the French during the wars of Louis XV.

Since my first surprisingly satisfying visit I tried this restaurant on several occasions, and now I became a regular customer. Instead of the 0/8/15 food of Italian pizzerias here you get for the same price good freshly prepared food. The choice of pizza, pasta, risotto and other dishes is big and attractive. I tried several pasta and risotto dishes; they all very very good indeed. The surroundings are not particularly nice so, but in view of the quality of the food that is not really important!

Da Pietro is an Italian fellow who moved to Sulzburg about a decade ago and carved (literally) his little pizza parlor out of the basement of the home he purchased. The interior is incredibly cozy & cute, with only three tables nestled into huge boulder-built walls. When the weather is nice, there are also three or four tables just outside. We've eaten here at least 20 times over the past decade and it is always a favorite and never disappoints. His pizza is absolutely authentic, baked in a brick oven that is wood fired. There is a large range of pizzas available, though my favorite is the special Da Pietro. As a change of pace from the region's excellent wines, we often order a bottle of Lambrusco just to complete the feel of being in Italy. This is a great place to gather with friends in a warm and inviting location for some great food.

Good italian place for padta and pizzas for very reasonable prices. Lots of people come from France to this place. Fast and pleasant service
