There are a host of pizzerias in the town so you are a little spoilt for choice. We made the right call with this one.Pizza was very tasty and portions were generous. Staff friendly and helped explain local ingredients.Make sure to pencil it in!

We were completely ignored when we enteted ans greeted staff with 'good evening'. They were avoiding any kind of interaction since they couldn't speak any English. When I slowly tried to make an order, waitress quickly argued, shouted and waived me off arrogantly not even trying to make an effort to understand few simple words. We had to spend couple of minutes with dictionary decoding Italian menu. Food wa OK-ish (rather tasteless), service was supremely slow. We have ordered desserts and cappuccino but left before the coffee was served, bored as hell. Or maybe more frustrated than bored, as always pissed off and utterly grumpy waitress was kind of entertaining (but should be made redundant asap). Rather avoid, there are many better options to go for in the neighbourhood.

It was a real trek to find this place because we followed google maps which sent us through fields and gardens. We nearly gave up when confronted by two agressive (but thankfully rather old) dogs determined to prevent us making it through the last 50 metres. Barbara Woodhouse training instincts took over. How do you say SIT in Italian? Very nice place. A bit like someone's home. Pizzas are excellent and warrant a visit. A wide choice and pleasant service. House wine was extremely dodgy however. We stupidly ordered a litre and discovered something like my Dad's 70's home brew but with a light fizz. Sort of Ribena on acid. They only had one other bottle of red (actually two half bottles) which we gratefully ordered and which was served in liqueur glasses. We left the Chateau Ribena. It is really worth it though for the Pizza.

We have tried several restaurants of Ayas Valley for 4 consecutive summers, so we can reasonably adfirm that "La Routa"is one of the best restaurant.First, the quality of the food is noticeable. We have eaten both pizza and traditional food (polenta, crespelle, meat) and we have appreciated every dish.In addition, the service is kind and quick (they have two turns), the atmosphere is good, although the interior design and the building are rather informal. Shortly, both the service and the environment are acceptable. Finally, we have paid less than 60 euros for three people, eating two dishes each persons and drinking wine/beer: a very reasonable and convenient price. Thus we like to eat at "La Ruota" and we will return to this restaurant

Fancy a family pizza/pasta meal in a booth with good food and friendly staff - this is the place for you (beats Churen, the other good pizza restaurant, for atmosphere). Moreover, the old curmudgeon who used to be front of house no longer presides - instead the owners have brought in a group of young, enthusiastic staff from the village who give this place a great vibe - and kids are very very welcome. They do two seatings on busy nights (7 and 9). Enjoy!

We walked in one evening only to find out the place was fully booked. So we booked for the next evening and ended up eating here again because we liked it very much. This is a more casual place compared to some others but very good value. The main feature is the huge pizza oven. The pizzas were really good, and the pizza list is a kilometer long (that is approx 0.6 miles for our English friends :-)). We tried the steaks as well and liked them, too.

Excellent food, outside terrace area as well as indoor dining. VERY good value for money. Coped well with a booking for 8 for lunch at short notice. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff with 2 indoor eating areas. On the road level there is a modern spacious more open plan space and downstairs has a more intimate cosy feel. Highly recomend
