Things to do in Athens
In a small town with too many pizza places, this is my go to. Eating in can be a mixed bag. Servers of various level of training and attitude. A sometimes needing attention buffet station. Take out works well here with a good drive through. A shout out to Nick who is a manager there and does have good attention to detail and he's just a nice guy too.

This Domino's is horrible. Not only did it take almost an hour for delivery but the pizzas were delivered ice cold. We were exactly 3 blocks from the place, the delivery driver said "hey we forgot your pizzas and they've been sitting under the heat lamp" and took off at a trot to his car. By the time I got the pizzas set down and looked at them, he was gone. So I called the place and spoke to the so called "manager". He promptly informed me that they only had one delivery driver, offered no apology or replacement of food. I personally took the pizzas back and got fresh ones out of the oven pies. Shouldn't have wasted my time. They were horrible. No taste just flat, cardboard crust with very little cheese or toppings. I would have done better going to WalMart and got a Totinos $1.29 pizza. The manger needs customer service training and cooking lessons would be helpful too. Avoid this delivery pizza at all costs, there are other pizza places in Athens that are better.
They're fast. Very inexpensive. Walk in and walk out with a standard pizza in 2 minutes. No frills. Bad parking but it can be done. I grab a thick crust pizza about once a month. Not the best pizza in Athens but certainly the quickest...
Our family usually eats here once every few weeks. We are always greeted with a smile and asked if we have any requests. The salad bar has so many options and the best Ranch dressing which I love. There have been a few times we have gone in and there was pizza that had been sitting a while but majority of the time they will immediately start putting fresh when customers come in. On Tuesdays, they have a Tex-Mex version along with pizza. They offer stacked chicken and beef enchiladas, queso, rice, beans etc. I personally enjoy the spinach pizza and salad bar.

We showed up around 2 on a Saturday. The place was mostly empty. We ordered, paid, filled our drinks and went to sit down. The drink selection is pretty good. Some of the tables still hadn't been cleared from the previous diners but we found a clean booth to sit. The staff looked young but tired. So maybe recovering from a busy lunch crowd? There is a lot of local sports memorabilia on the walls that I thought was pretty cool. Our pizza came out and it was very good. My wife had ordered a small veggie pizza and I had the small hornet pizza - various meats and hot sauce. Very good pizza. Great crust, good sauce, cheese and toppings. Unfortunately, there were flies inside the restaurant and they were kind of annoying. Probably just from people coming in and out, leaving the door open, but still, we had to wave them off multiple times. The bathroom was pretty primitive as well. Prices are average, not expensive but not a real bargain. Overall, a good meal. I'd stop in again if I found myself in town and in the mood for pizza. I wouldn't mind trying the buffet some day.

My bad...was waiting too long to return here!My friend and I ordered stuffed mushrooms & they were to die for! I secretly hid & licked my plate!!!Our salads were well proportioned & delish. Of course the rolls are always so good...with extra butter! My entree arrived & didn't disappoint at all. We had our dish created extra spicy by adding "Red Pepper"...Yum!Dinner ended with "Tiramisu " hum? You can't go wrong there!Service & atmosphere just right after a very long workweek!I will be back...sooner then later!
