I am so glad we stopped in here for lunch on our Asbury Park trip. They have a really unique style going for them- sort of reminded me of grungy punk type pizza place you would find in Seattle or Portland. They have a regular menu with pizza and usual pizza shop grub but a ENTIRE vegan menu which had great choices. Their prices where sort of high- but its a popular, hipster upcoming area in Asbury Park, so I expected the prices. We got the vegan mozzarella sticks- they where great! Vegan mozzarella sticks are a rare come by! We had buffalo meatless bites with vegan ranch- just as tasty and it was a nice amount.Love that the place embraces vegan menu and makes great food. Also exciting to find a vegan place in a Jersey Shore area that has more than just a "veggie burger"- stop in, you will love it.

This ended up being the best lunch on our vacation. The prices are reasonable. We had the crispy calamari which was about the best we ever had. Meatlovers pizza was cooked perfect and loaded with sausage, homemade meatballs, pepperoni, and fresh mozzarella. We also got an "almost Italian salad" which was good and large. Homemade naked balls topped it off. You will leave full and happy. Put Capitoline on your must go to restaurant list on your vacation. If you are into reclaimed architecture and decorating you will be amazed at what the inside of this place looks like.

All natural and organic terra cotta pizza concept. Serving artisan pizzas, sandwiches, soups and salads.
This place looks cute but the service is atrocious, and having been there, I can confirm that others' complaints are justified, even though the management blew them away. The seating management is highly disorganised. We were told to wait 25 minutes and by 35 minutes 6 tables became available - we knew that 5 were being kept for pre-bookings but couldn't we sit at the 6th? When I asked, the person at the cash had such an attitude, she literally barked at me. Didn't even bother to check our booking and then as I walked to the door she called us! She was taken aback to see that it was our turn after all and she hadn't even checked. When I pointed this out to the manageress (owner?), she was polite but just made excuses for her staff. As she has done here below. I'm sure this will be rebutted which shows you what a place it is. The food was OK but not out of this world. My sauce had a bitter after-taste as someone else pointed out here. The pizza was good but I've had better. Definitely don't pay good money to be treated like that.

We arrived just after opening after a day at the beach. Staff were very friendly and service overall was excellent. The pizzas were great! The crust was light and the sauce and toppings tasty. The kale salad was also excellent. Two pizzas were enough for my two kids and I. Highly recommend.

Del Ponteâs Coal Fired Pizza .. pizza the way it should be. Using quality and fresh ingredients we offer a wide range of hand tossed salads, Paniniâs, and of course, custom authentic coal fired pizza.
The star ledger seems to have missed this goldmine of Pizza originality - grab a table for 4 bring a bottle of wine or beer - order a special salad and two large pizzas! Save room for dessert and walk next door to the bakery to select cookies, biscotti and pastries! What a dynamite dinner with a sweet treat for a song! Unbeatable

Serving the Jersey Shore Since 1947For more than 4 generations Vics Bar & Restaurant has been serving the most authentic and sought after Italian food at the Jersey Shore.Vittorio Vic Giunco opened Vics Tap Room shortly after prohibition was repealed in 1
I've been eating Vic's pizza for half a century. It has always been one of the best pizzas EVER. I have raved about it to other people as one of the best I'd ever eaten. So it is with a heavy heart that I have to downgrade my opinion. I ate there a few nights ago and the pizza was just not the same Vic's I've known my whole life. The pizza was not bad, but it just wasn't the real deal. Why would you change a recipe that has been sooo successful for soooo long? Especially when it's been rated as one of New Jersey's best. If you like super thin crust pizza with a mild sauce, then, by all means, enjoy the new Vic's. It's good. But it's not of the unique and delicious pie it was even a couple of years ago.Sorry to hear your recent experience wasn't to your liking. I promise you that the recipe hasn't changed and the same chefs who make the seasonings and cook the sauce have been here for 25-45 years. I am also sorry you didn't ask us in person about your suspicions. We could have communicated that nothing has changed to you in person and made something else for you if the pizza wasn't right. I sincerely hope you won't let one bad experience dictate your dining habits, especially after half a century of eating at Vics. I am sure if we got it right for 50 years that you wouldn't judge us on one bad experience. We hope to entertain you again in the near future and to meet your expectations.

I had an appointment at the Social Security office in Neptune, so I decided to go to here for lunch. It was crowded, so I sat at the bar, which entitled me to order a bar pie (which I had with mushrooms). If you like thin crust pizza (to my mind, the best kind), you'll love it here.

Homey atmosphere and good food at this family-friendly restaurant. Pizza was delicious but be aware that it is bar pie size -- get at least two if you are with a few people. Good music and decent service. Try to get a seat outside if weather permits; less noisy and more comfortable.

Great experience and the best pizza around. I visited this place many times and had never been disappointed. Different pizzas, one better then the other one but they all outstanding. Also, try their toasts and salads with bread because their bread is simply delicious. Too bad they don't sell bread to go. Strongly recommend and I will be back once in the area.
