This place is a hidden gem, not everybody knows about it.Around the back it’s an oasis. I love the fat cat. It sits on my knee. The food is good, the pizza is great. The staff are efficient and friendly. We went a few times in two weeks never a problem. Always great, we will be back

Pizza Al Forno

I thought this would be the best place to get a pizza, restaurant was rammed, people waiting for seats so we gave it a go.They had a proper pizza oven that all could see.The service was absolutely rubbish. If you needed to be served, you'd have to shout out to a waiter if one came nearby which I don't like. Compared to many other restaurants in Kefalonia, they seem very arrogant. The pizza wasn't anything special either, I did however discover an amazing place for pizza at The Captain's Table by the harbour with a friendly service.

We shared a 4 seasons pizza, which was plenty for us. We were impressed that the waiter didn't try to talk us in to ordering more. The flavour, because or the wood oven used, was delicious. With a carafe of wine, and reasonable tip, we spent just 15 euros. The seating area was lovely and relaxing. We will definately go again next time we are in Lassi.

La Gondola

We ate here when we visited Argostoli one evening. It seemed like a nice restaurant with nice comfy chairs. We ordered garlic bread to share for a starter. We waited a long time for it to arrive but we didn’t mind as we were enjoying the atmosphere of the square. Whilst we were eating it I noticed a waiter standing near our table with tray. One of the waiters asked him if it was for us, he nodded. This waiter then started to clear away our plates as we were still eating which I thought was very rude and unprofessional. Basically the starter arrived at the same time as our main meal. My daughter is a fussy eater so ordered the usual meal she has at other restaurants, grilled chicken fillet. At first it was okay but as she carried on eating it was hard for her to cut. I tried and realised it was full of fat/gristle. I had chicken in the wood oven which had fatty chicken leg meat in it and a long thin bone, disgusting. My sons souvlaki was cold too. I expected more from this restaurant and when we told the waiter about our food he just shrugged his shoulders and said “Anything else to say.” Will never return here, they obviously make their money by using cheap meat in their meals, yuk!
