There are not many choices in Amsterdam for a family with small children to find a place with food everyone likes and space enough for everyone to sit and not interupt other customers. We were the only customers eating in on this saturday night and we got a long table for 6. The cheese pizza was excellent. We also got the eggplant parm, the spaghetti and wings. Wings were decent but maybe it was because we only ordered mild. Everything else was good. Service was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. They have a large tv in the middle of the dining room which is a little distracting. The menu is well written and bright.

Ordered pizza with soda online, 45 minutes later arrived with no soda and no sorry, just said would bring back, waited over hr for return with soda, finally called and girl (star) said only one driver and many deliverys, no apology and said soda still on way and didnt think of callinggwith delay and apology, she also said she was the manager, wow! Bad service and will cost you my business. Stay clear of this place, save ed yourself the frustration for a pie, pick another place.

My note to Joe the owner of Orapello's:Joe I have to tell you that our pizza party was a blast and the pizza was amazing. I have passed your info on to some folks already. Our friends from Italy that were here for the wedding were blown away by your pizza. I can't wait to do another party and have you come. Thank you so much for making our Friday night such a hit.Need I say more? OK I will. We had 100 people there for a wedding rehersal and everyone had nothing but compliments after eating the pizza. The pear and gorgonzola and prosciutto and arugula were to die for. There were plenty of different pies to choose from too. I did not have to say a word to Joe and as the host that is a real treat. All I had to do was set up a bar and BOOM I was done.Try it you won't be disappointed.

Had an early dinner on a Monday. Not too many open-Monday restaurants in Amsterdam New York. Italian menu, moderately priced, good portions, tasty, atmosphere is so so. (August 2016)I had red marinara and meatballs over angel hair pasta ($9.99). The three meatballs were generous and delicious. And my paisana enjoyed her seafood marinara ($11.99). Seemed like there were only clams in it though, but the pasta portion was generous. Maybe the dish she had ordered was just "clams linguine." It was meaty with lots of clams. Thoroughly enjoyed the house salad (perfectly chilled) that came with most entrees. I had asked for a few onions and olives, and Alex happily complied, no extra charge. I would not recommend the oil and vinegar (pre-mixed in a plastic mini cup), because the ratio of vinegar to oil was off. The restaurant is a former Pizza Hut, with few modifications, so the atmosphere was what it was. $.99 pizza slices on Monday, brought a few customers in. The pizza looked beautiful. Thin, but beautifully "decorated," seemed worth more than a block. In other words, the pizza looked artful. They had a soda fountain, cans of soda and bottles of soda also. Did not seem to have too much in the way of fancy juices or teas. No alcohol served here.

sadly, service seriously lacking and obviously "green!" Okay, so FRIDAY NIGHT is packed, loud and crazy most everywhere, but next visit-because the food was so good from poppers to salad, to wings then on to pizza and a great spicy pasta dish, was well over an hour wait-with no updates or apologies from the one obviously new waitress running between tables, take out people trying to pick-up AND bar people expecting something to eat/nibble as well as that fairly priced draught! We decided we'll do a Wednesday or Thursday next time and will definitely spread the word there is a LARGE "Help-Wanted" sign posted at the front entrance!!

Unassuming neighborhood corner tavern and restaurant. Walk to the dining room in the back and order Italian, anything really. Homemade sauce is very tasty. Live it up and order a meatball or two. Order a local beer, Common Roots, on tap and indulge.

Ordered take-out from this family-owned spot. The timing of the pizza being done before everything else was finished needs to be worked on. This caused the pie to dry out a little. But the flavor is still tasty and the sweet sauce that everyone talks about is evident. The wings are good and the desserts are to die for. The young lady at the counter was very nice.

Love this place! Have been going to the location up the road in The Adirondacks for a few years and made it down to the original thatâs almost 100 years old! Food is fantastic and the staff is great! meatballs are a must! Be prepared to eat and to have leftovers! So delicious!

We've ordered Pizza and Wings many times and food is always excellent.The best pizza and wings in Amsterdam. We get well done pizza with pepperoni,mushrooms and anchovies and its always cooked perfect. They offer only takeout and the food is always ready in the time they tell you.
