The pizzeria has great pizza and is in a great location in the heart of Del Ray. The area is really cool and it's a great place to grab dinner for a night out with the family The pizza is great but so is all the food. The steak special is delicious as well and lots of great beers on tap. The line to get a table can get long but it's worth the wait (and lots of shops nearly to enjoy while you wait). Enjoy.

Met friends for my birthday dinner. Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. We spent a fair amount of time perusing the beer options. Loved that they had taste sizes to purchase for a variety. We ordered burgers and chicken. Food was okay at best. Definitely not the reason we would return. We will be back to continue our journey through the beer choices and will try the pizza. Hope springs eternal.

A lovely local restaurant serving pizza, pasta and other dishes. We had really superb service from Daniel who was friendly and helpful and accommodated our different dietary requirements. Food came quickly and was good. One of our group loves the way they do the crusts on the pizza. Pasta of the day - ziti pasta with garlic and vegetables was excellent. We were able to get a seat outside on a beautiful day.

Had mousaka for carry-out. Cones with small side salad and garlic bread for $17. Marinara sauce came on the side. It was okay. Bechamel sauce was not as creamy as I have had in other restaurants and the mousses just was not as tasty. My daughter, who usually eats everything, only ate half of hers. The slice of mousaka was not large, but after tasting it, it didn’t matter.

This is definitely not your typical restaurant one finds near tourist hotels. The food is not bland and barely adequate, as usual. The cuisine is warm and flavorful with a good number of choices. They quickly accommodated our party of 9 without reservations and the service was quick and professional. We will definitely make this one of our choices of eateries when we next return to this area.

No real complaints about Lena's ... the food is good; the atmosphere is good; the staff attentive but not over-bearing. The pizza "flavors" are a bit nouveau for my palate ... why screw with a classic like Diavalo by putting kale on it. And, Korean BBQ -- like pineapple -- should never be on a pizza.

Stopped in for Happy Hour one night when we were visiting DC and staying in Alexandria. They have a fairly generous happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. We got the pepperoni pizza (which was excellent) and the wood fired meatballs, which was plenty of food for the two of us. They also have a decent draft beer selection which is discounted during happy hour too. Meatballs are served with slices of bread. Good, but would have been better had they been toasted. They have several seats at the bar as well as tables in the bar area and in the dining room. It's pleasant and comfortable. The service was very good. They have a bulletin board posted to the left of the bar which seemed oddly placed and sloppy to show their various licenses and permits. If they need to be displayed, why not put them behind some glass? The prices seem a little high (outside of happy hour) but given the location, it's pretty typical. Also, being right downtown parking can be difficult at times. The food is good and we would definitely visit again when we're back in Alexandria.
