Attracted by the beauty of a (supposed to be) traditional Italian idyll, we were dumb enough to enter this place, and this even tough across the street the locals dine. Our bad, we enjoyed a dinner, we canât recommend to any who are in this beautiful little town probably looking for the traditional, local Italian way. Worst waitress, touristic pizza, unchill.

Staying at Hotel Solamare, we were recommended to eat at this place, owned by the brother of the hotel owner... It was not our first choice, but looked much more inviting than places with higher TA rankings. The place was full with locals, which i always a good sign. We were told that the risotto would take 30-40 minutes, as they prepare it from scratch. Fine, we started off with the antipasti anyway. The white wine by the glass was not really good, but the bottle of Nera d'avola with the risotto was great. Food was good, yet not top notch, rather simple. As was the price, with 50⬠for everything this was great value.

This cafe looks like any other upon arrival but the menu each day is based on whatever the chef has made that day. Our first experience the focaccia, potato and salmon was excellent, but the service topped it with some free "specialty" samosas and cake provided! Also, great value so we returned a second day. It was less impressive the second day with less tasty potato and some average chicken gougons but the focaccia remained delicious and service great so all in 4 stars. Worth a visit.

We were taken here for pizza on a weekday evening. The pizza was very good and there was a wide range of combinations on offer. But what was most striking was the vibe: very cheerful staff and very pleased customers. While we stuck with our plan-pizza and some excellent craft beer, plenty of other temptations went by, some lovely antipasti, pasta and fish dishes. The service was prompt and caring.Clearly, this is a place much appreciated by the locals. Based on what we saw and the overall ambiance, we will be back to try more of their offerings. The old movie memorabilia was tastefully done. But what really stays with you is that everyone was genuinely having a good time.

In the centre of the ancient town of Albenga showing Roman , Paleochristian as well and medieval monuments the restaurant is located in a typical narrow street and keeps its fashion of the last centuries with the big ovens for woodfire used for cooking but also to prepare the tasteful farinata.Aside the look the most important thing are the old typical recipes perfectly prepared. It deserves a trial

We had both lunch as well as dinner at this restaurant. The food, wine and service were consistently good! Both seafood as well as meat were very a high quality and carefully prepared. The recommended white wine (Roero Arneis) was highly enjoyable and friendly priced. Both owners run the place, where the woman offers very pleasant personal service to the guests and the man really knows how to cook. Highly recommended!

A small restaurant located in the middle of the historic center of Albenga. It has a large dehoor in the summer. Suitable for those who want to rediscover the flavors of the Ligurian cuisine of the past and to lovers of Gourmet pizza: Light and crunchy do
The place is simple and located in a nice square of the of the beautiful old town of albenga. We went for dinner and the restaurant was full. We booked in advance and were allocated a table at 5cm from the entrance door. Very unpleasant as each time some one enters, the wind hurts you. We were not yet served and a table in the centre of the restaurant became available. We asked to move and the answer was âno, we are fullâ. What?!? We booked as well and you are forcing us to stay in a freezy table...the food was ok but nothing extraordinary. But once you eat in uncomfortable situations and the attitude is so âLigurianâ...that does not matter. There are so many places around....
