The first few times we had pizza here, we were very happy. The last two times, not so much. Pizza was blah and seemed like the topping were thrown on after the pizza was cooked. Small private restaurant with very friendly owners. We'll give them another chance one of these weeks, but with so many place to eat in Ajijic, the food HAS to be good to get us to go back.

On our first visit we enjoyed the Italian flavors (ravioli and sherry, cream sauce over fettucini) so much that we decided to return a couple nights later. On the second visit I ordered a simple spaghetti with tomato basil garlic sauce. Being all set for a nice vegetarian bowl, I was disappointed when the sauce was so spicy it brought tears to my eyes. Sent it back to the kitchen to be toned down a bit and it returned still too peppery. Luckily my partner was willing to swap entrees. Don't worry, the tiramisu left a much better taste! I'd return, but stick to dishes prepared with some dairy product to cool the picante.

Across from the Auditorium in La Floresta is this wonder pizzeria. The atmosphere is light and clean, the service is friendly and attentive. We shared the vegetarian pizza, The crust was thin and crisp as we like it, the vegetables on the pizza were beautiful and tasty. Our dessert was made with pizza crust, split in half and filled with Nutella, strawberries and banana. It was delicious. This restaurant will definitely be one of our "go to" restaurants.

My wife and i are staying the month of February in Ajijic and passed this restaurant many times. Didn't have a lot of reviews on Tripadvisor so kind of ignored it. We went last night and am sorry it took so long. the food was delicious and creative. I saw on the menu fettuccine pesto with shrimp or chicken. i love and make pesto and thought i'd give it a try. It was not typical but in many ways better. They chopped alot of fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts and sauteed it then added to pasta. It was not classic pesto but light and extremely delicious. the Caesar Salad, pumpkin ginger soup, lasagna and tiramisu were also excellent. will definitely go back.

Wonderful dinner at this great restaurant. We had the Portobello Mushrooms dish with roasted vegetables on a bed of Mexican cheese....yummy! The tower of Shrimp and Guacamole was great as was a beautiful thick cut of Prime Rib, complete with perfect mashed potatoes from russets not the local Yukon gold type that make lumpy mashed potatoes. The chef at Jitomate is quite talented, and the food is always delicious. Friday night is Prime Rib Night!

After a long hard day at the spa, we just wanted a little bite before we went home to rest. , The most cheerful and loving waitress brought us cold beer and a bottomless natural iced tea. And the our four cheese pizza, hot from their brick oven. It was scrumptious for two hungry people who had not eaten since breakfast. Another winner here in Ajijic.

Girls night out before movies. We shared the salad which is very large and plenty for two folks at just 40 pesos. Basic with lettuce, cukes, tomatoes, carrots, choice of dressing though a 20 peso extra charge for blue cheese dressing. Italian dressing was quite tasty whereas blue cheese looked dry. The pizza was delivered to our table timely and hot on a wood board. We shared that as well and both like just plain cheese pizza. We each had 2 pieces and took 2 pieces to go, wrapped nicely in foil. 160 pesos for the pizza. They have sodas, beer and wine for drinks, a soda is 20 pesos. Food was good and service by Joshua who waited on us and is also a co-owner was excellent. He was attentive, quick and surely in the game to please. I also met the other co-owner Moises who seemed pleasant enough. The only lacking feature might be atmosphere. It is truly very basic and some of the things could surely be kept behind screens or curtains to improve appearance. The bathroom was clean. The tables and chairs are nice but also may pose some difficulties for some being bar stool height, and not too comfortable. The elderly populace in the area could probably use some tables that are lower, the restaurant is large so as the need arises they can add some lower tables. All in all a good pizza meal. Removed from the village as opposed to their former site so assume, delivery may pick up and foot traffic drop off. Easy parking.
