There are several restaurants along Grau leading to the Plaza de Armas in Lunahuana. This one is about two blocks from the plaza. We had our first meal in Lunahuana here. After a long drive from Lima it was well past noon and we were hungry. Wanting to try the local cuisine we found several items on the menu that we wanted to try. When I pointed to the fried yucca with cheese, tamal and chicharron de chancho on the menu that we desired, the owner pointed to the breakfast platter which contained all those items plus fried sweet potatoes. The platter (18 soles) was much cheaper than the individual items would have been. The food was delicious and the single platter was more than my wife and I could finish. We ate here two additional times. The sopa de camaronnes was the best I had in Peru. The menu is extensive and in Spanish. The restaurant is very clean. The service is fast and the staff is eager to please. They also appeared to be doing a brisk take away business. They do not speak English but seemed to have experience (and patience) with tourists speaking broken Spanish.
Restaurant El Molino, located in the Lunahuaná Valley, offers a different place for a family lunch, surrounded by nature, with magnificent views of the valley and river. We offer regional dishes, wood-fired meals and the wide variety of our menu.

Me recomendaron este lugar, preguntando donde preparaban la mejor sopa seca de la zona y realmente quede satisfecha, me encantó!!! muy agradable, lo único que tienen que mejorar es la calidad del servicio.
We ate here twice. The restaurant is very clean, It is on Grau about one block from the plaza. We had two different waitresses, one of whom could speak a little English. They were very accommodating and patient with our broken Spanish. The menu is extensive. Once my wife had a sopa de pollo which they customized to my wife's wishes. We also had chicharron de chancho, chicharron de pollo, grilled chicken, fried yucca and a salad with each meal. Each meal was delicious. Each visit cost around 40 soles including a couple of large beers and bottled water. We paid in cash but there were signs indicating that they took Amex, Visa and MC.

We went on New Years Day and the power was out, so they were hustling, but the service was pretty haphazard...pisco sours never happened, but no one bothered to tell us they couldn't make them...our "caja china" arrived about 30 min after all our other food -- a point at which we didn't even want it anymore. Chicharron de calamar was good, and there was a hominy and peanut dish that was interesting, but nothing else stood out. Chupe de camaron at the nearby table looked good though!

We went two times. Quality of food served was OK. The restaurant can absorb many many people, but we were alone. I think it is a weekend restaurant. Midweek there is a limited choise of disks. But what we got served was tasty.

Cozy, quiet place with a friendly proprietor who went out of his way to make sure our dinner went well. Try the seco de camarones...quite good.

From the sources of the river that are born in the mystery of the mountains, we have obtained the most fresh trouts and shrimps of the whole valley, to offer them to you as main dishes in our Menu, thus emerging the majesty of flavors that awaken the plea
This is the hotel restaurant, so it's convenient if you're staying there. Note there's no A/C, so it can get hot. The food was very good, but found the menu very limited, and further, many dishes in the menu weren't available. The service was slow, mostly because they seemed to be understaffed (off-season maybe). Breakfast is included and the coffee was pretty good. I recommend the stuffed avocado and the beef with pesto and potatoes. The cocktails are also good, but the only dessert option are pancakes.
